What really frightens me?
Probably if I ever had to calculate how much money I had spent on buying half baked horror movies over the years.
This film is out now despite the information on the release date and sadly it is as slow and dull as they come.
The basic premise is a mysterious writer for a horror fanzine "Ghastly Horror" interviews three strangers asking them what really frightens them for an article. The interviews are very brief, under a minute each and the disappointing fact is that the three people he chooses have such sad unimaginative fears that the film never really looks like it will create any great suspense. After one of the three interviewees dies the other two who have met by coincidence as one is a lawyer seek to investigate the background of the writer.
There's a few thankfully non CGI critters and a few dream sequences and a brief topless scene but it is just plain daft throughout and the most annoying thing about this film is it actually manages to make a reasonably short 80 minutes or so drag horrendously. The final creature just before the end credits is just plain laughable. There is no explanation as to who the "Ghost Writer" actually is why he does what he does and there is a post credit sequence which seems as if it was an odd afterthought.
The only extras are oddly trailers for films that have been out for years like Children Of The Corn [Blu-ray] and Live Like a Cop; Die Like a Man [Blu-ray]
