For me, the 007 franchise is the most incredible to ever be produced, 50 years of excitement, adventure, women, villains, thousands of cast and crew, and of course, Ian Fleming’s incredible creation himself, James Bond. Daniel Craig is absolutely exceptional and is my personal favourite actor to ever take over the role; he is very much the closest to Ian Fleming’s character. Craig’s movies (2006-2015) are considered to be somewhat different compared the first twenty Bond films. From the start of the franchise, the story order of the Bond films was the same as the chronological order… until the 21st movie. Casino Royale rebooted the franchise, therefore, although it is set in the modern era, the events are very much prequel to Dr. No. All of the films continue after its predecessor and all tie in with each other. Three of the Craig films are longest Bond films to date, and the other is the shortest. It is also interesting to see just how the character which Craig portrays has developed from starting as Bond. All four films are also very different in terms of quality – two are very good, one is absolutely amazing, and the other is mediocre / good at best.

Casino Royale is a very good outing for Craig. Being the very first novel that Fleming wrote, this was a perfect storyline for a franchise reboot, starting off a new era for Bond in the 21st century. Craig plays Bond brilliantly from his first on-screen appearance, bitter, cold, sophisticated with somewhat of a soft side. The style is very gritty, there are plenty of heart-racing fight scenes and chases and edge-of-the-seat moments, and very emotional and serious scenes. Characters were brilliantly written and very Bond like; Vesper Lynd was very much a Bond girl and Le Chiffre having the superb characteristics of a Bond villain.

Daniel Craig blew away the initial widespread scepticism with a stunning reinvention of Ian Fleming's iconic creation. From the off he is Bond, exuding a genuine physicality and simmering vulnerability not previously seen on screen.Of his four outings(so far)Casino Royale and Skyfall are rightly regarded as two of the very best Bond films ever made, and sit alongside Connery's earliest outings as the absolute pinnacle of the franchise.Quantum of Solace is the only misstep and comfortably the weakest, but is enjoyable enough seen as an extended epilogue to Casino Royale. The newest film Spectre somewhat polarised the critics and although a dramatic shift in tone is evident in parts,it's everything you could want from a Bond film.It also bought Craig's tenure full circle in a sense and provides potentially a logical end should this indeed be his farewell to the franchise.Nobody does it better!.

James Bond for the 21st Century :D Daniel Craig is James Bond and for me he is the best. Never before have I seen a franchise fall so far into the ground with Die Another Day which was a campy fuckfest. With Daniel Craig taking over Pierce Brosnan as Bond, the producers and Craig made a great decision to go back to a more realistic tone and they made that statement perfectly bold. I cannot comment on the box set itself though I own all 4 movies on Blu-Ray and they look and sound stunning, if you have a Blu-Ray its worth getting all the Bond movies not just Daniel Craig's.

Casino Royale(2006)-Dir.Martin Campbell

Casino Royale is an utter masterpiece and really was the perfect reboot. They got everything right by starting again. This film has a great plot and its been modernized to suit Daniel Craig's modern portrayal as Bond. The film is relentless from beginning to end. The action is awesome and all done practically; the opening fight in the bathroom was awesome and the black and white filters work so well, it throws you in and lets you know the days of Brosnan's Bond are over. The gun barrel and title sequence are both awesome. Also Chris Cornell does a kick-ass theme of "You Know My Name." The chase in the construction scene which uses the free-running style of parkour is amazing to watch and a highlight for a lot of people. The fight on the stairs is great too. The airport scene is cool though quite long. And the sinking house climax is utterly brilliant. Daniel Craig is great as Bond and he displays the dark, rugged characteristic of Fleming's creation as well as a shred of arrogance, yes he may not look the best but that doesn't bother me.

Brilliant box set with a great price. I personally think Craig is the best bond, so to have all his bond films in one set is a winner for me. They also include the uv codes so really good value for money, I highly recommend!
