This is a low-ish budget post-virus apocalypse film, from Israel. There is very little gore, and while there is a lot of "run-and-gun", there is little tension, because the characters are not properly developed.

------spoilers-------

I was worried where this was headed right from the start, when the voice actor they chose to do the narration piped up......

The film tells of a small group of survivors of some kind of viral apocalypse, where the infected roam the earth and can run (think "28 days later", in that regard, at least). The group spend much time moving between locations and shooting the infected along the way (though the gore is minimal)

While there is quite a lot of discussion within the group, it felt like I was being talked "at", quite a lot. Very little of it seems designed to help me engage with the protagonists, nor explain their plight (until the very end), so when the nasties appear, I didn't much care what happened, one way or the other. Much of the dialogue, particularly from "Colonel" (Carl McCrystal) seems like some kind of very heavy-handed, grumpy lecture on the woes of society.

The characters are poorly drawn and while Zach Cohen as "wizard" and, in particular, Susanne Gschwendtner as "doctor" do a pretty good job with their lines, McCrystal as "Colonel" seems to mistake barking his lines for acting. He gets most to say, yet maintains the same shouty style through-out; even his long death scene monologue, which ended with a nice head role. It just got mildly annoying. (Also, was his American accent integral to the plot?

An okay zombie movie - survivors of the zombie apocalypse fight for ... life ?
actually, i'm not sure what they were fighting for, but the other guys moaned, groaned and ate people
don't go looking for a blockbuster, you will not get it here - but you may well like a sideline tale from this end of days !

I'd liked to have seen a lot more story and (sadly) a script that was a little less wooden :(

10/10 review - sadly no, despite so much promise
