Product Description

When a ruthless terrorist group kidnaps retired spy Leonard Turner (Bruce Willis Die Hard, Sin City, Armageddon), and threatens to unleash a global catastrophe if its demands are not met, the CIA sends one of its best agents, Victoria (Gina Carano Haywire, Fast & Furious 6), to hunt them down, rescue Turner, and save the free world. But also on the case is Leonard s son, Harry Turner (Kellan Lutz The Twilight Saga, The Expendables 3), a government analyst repeatedly turned down for field service, undertaking his own unsanctioned rescue operation, and in the process, becoming a wanted man. Inevitably Victoria s and Harry s paths cross, and they must set aside a troubled history in order to meet their common goal. Together they must evade highly skilled operatives, deadly assassins, and international fugitives to bring Leonard home and save the world from an uncertain fate. A high-octane, intense and kinetic action adventure, Extraction proves that whatever the odds, no mission is impossible...

Leonard Turner (Bruce Willis) is a crusty old CIA agent who may or may not be retired. He is kidnapped in Newark, along with the Condor, a device that can hack everything. Harry (Kellan Lutz) also works for the company as a desk agent in Prague. Harry had been working on the Condor, but his boss wants him home. Harry goes rogue to save his dad and the world. He teams up with his old girlfriend (Gina Carano) in New Jersey

The film was actually filmed in Alabama, except for the flyover which was Pittsburgh. There was a lot of hand to hand fighting with cliche scenes starting with the opener as Leonard is tied up and given a pen. Who didn't see that coming? The fight scenes were so-so and Gina Carano was unconvincing. The whole plot seemed weak.

Not the best Bruce Willis film out there, but better than that one where he dies early and his son has to use his cell phone (The Cold Light of Day). 2 1/2 stars

Really a sad entry, poor writing, poor direction and poor acting add up to - a bad, bad movie. Bruce Willis better be getting rich because that's the only excuse for him sleepwalking through the film. The rest of the cast took on his (lack of) excitement and produced equally bad efforts. Not even worth renting.

This is an excellent example of a shoot em up with the occasional wisecrack thrown in for good measure. If you like that kind of film, you'll like this, a lot. It's not up there with Willis' best (he's not the lead in this) but it's definitely worth a watch.

Good plot but not good action choreography. The good guys get beaten up very easily in places then seem to remember that they are highly trained CIA agents. Not very credible.

Although there was a lot of action I wasn't that impressed as it wasn't as slick as other Bruce Willis films that I have seen. That said, it's not boring and is worth a look.

Poor story line, promoting itself on the back of Bruce Willis who spends most of the film locked up awaiting release by an improbable son. Definitely not Die Hard or Red!!!

More painful to watch that a dental extraction .... without anaesthetic. Willis must be deep in debt to even this about appearing in atrocious dross like this.

I was expecting a poor film after reading some of the other comments however it did keep me entertained most of the time.
This could have been an exciting thriller but it seems as if the budget was cut and was completed to at least get some return for their outlay.
Bruce Willis seems to be trying not to be his Die Hard character but ends up with little idea as to how to do anything to bring this character to life and is very disappointing. The story line doesn't help as again it has little direction, stumbling along as if too much was cut from the original script to complete a coherent, exciting thriller. Perhaps the original script wasn't good enough in the first place as many of the lines are poorly acted with little to make you believe they are not just finishing off the last scenes to get it over with.
Having said this, if it was screened as a tv programme, it may be more acceptable and as such I enjoyed it.
The film lacks too many essential elements to be more than what used to be classed as a B movie.
If you don't expect an all action thriller and want a moderate tv type of entertaining story, you will probably accept it but I'd wait for this to be in a half price sale before buying it.
It's a cut price film and can't justify being worth anything more.
