The Cursed Tomb is a terrible film, its just your run of the mill cheap and not very scary horror film.

And anyone who is a fan of the once nominated actor Eric Roberts(Runaway Train) you will be disappointed, he only stars for around ten minutes, and all I can say about Michael Madsen(Reservoir Dogs) he was awful in this film, what has happened?.

But the huge negative about this DVD release was the sound, I had to keep turning up the volume just to understand what they were saying, then turning it down when the music began.

Awful film and one to forget. Oh take no notice of the front cover, this does not happen.

Their are some bonus features but no subtitles.

Yet another repackaged film, originally made in 2009 as Ligeia released previously as The Tomb [DVD] and is based on concepts from Edgar Allen Poe's story The Tomb of Ligeia. I had actually seen this film a few times previously on some obscure satellite channel late at night and it hasn't grown on me any more since then, maybe if I was under the influence of absinthe which is heavily featured here I would have appreciated it more.
A rich Professor is stalked by an unusual woman who has an incurable disease and is trying to avoid death by capturing souls by a mixture of science and black magic. Under Ligeia's influence he leaves his girlfriend and moves to Ligeia's homeland where he marries her and she can continue with her research but all is not well at home.
Visually there are some decent scenes but sadly there is no real tension or fear here which is a critical mistake for a horror film and you can pretty much guess where the plot is going as the twists such as they are all unravel as you would expect them to.
There are a few extras including a saccharin heavy series of cast and crew interviews extolling the film's virtues and a few deleted scenes,
