The film takes place in the part of Arizona where everyone is required to maintain a video diary. We follow a forest ranger, two couples, and two hunters as they encounter the alien depicted on the back of the DVD cover plus other things.

This is a hand held camera film, but claims it is fictional at the end of production. It includes the ground cam, the green night time cam, the dark cam, and the herky-jerky cam. It was missing the tent "what is that noise" cam. Megan Drust provided the tease eye candy. The action started comparatively early and we got to see the alien clearly. The film gives a nod to on-line web site "Mr. Skin."

Guide: F-bomb. No sex. Male rear nudity. $9.88 US Walmart

This is a low-budget "first-person footage" horror-sci fi film from the USA about crash-landing extraterrestrials and some humans with camcorders. At first I thought this might be a parody of the "found footage" film genre, based on the set-up of having multiple groups with cam corders, equipped with every type you could think of (helmet, dash, floor, infra-red, night-cam, even rifle-scope cam!). Alas...no.

Something crashes in the woods of Arizona, where two hunters, and four campers, along with a park ranger, are in the vicinity. So far, so good.

Although I found the two couples (The one with the beard, the blonde one, the dark-haired one and the other one) annoying from the very start (particularly the bearded one), I thought the two hunters had very early promise (As an aside, "Tucker and Dale" should do one of these. Now, that might just work!) and I thought the perky park ranger was great, as the only sympathetic character.

Unfortunately, the nice park ranger, Alice, after finding the crashed space ship, gets bitten by something and quickly succumbs to her infection. It's a pity the director didn't develop her character more.
In terms of the two hunters, Trevor and Duncan; one inexplicably just goes bonkers for no reason and runs off into the forest to get attacked by something unseen. Then the other one goes bonkers, if he wasn't already, after being zapped by a bright light. To my ear, he was then almost incomprehensible through most of his night time rambling ramblings. Maybe he was speaking in tongues by this point? He does stumble across an alien during the night, which looks like it's straight out of the Roswell book of extraterrestrials, however, nothing is made of this.Read more ›

way better special effects than I expected. Lots of creature effects, some unexplained threads which worked. And the acting was damn good for non-pros. I love low budget movies and i like found footage films and I liked this grteatly. Having read many of the reviews i find that most audiences are jaded and spoiled by the huge budget crap coming out of Hollywood. Low budget cant compete with the SFX in most cases. I liked the creatures in this and the pods and alien infection. and if you dont stick with star wars cause they have endless monies to throw around. This film had several good jump out scares and a couple nice money shots. Keep in mind Attack of the Crab Monsters is one of my all time favorite movies. My guess is the entire budget is up on the screen.Most of you have no idea how difficult it is to make a movie. I am always coming from the place where I take that into consideration. Nice job guys. A lot of good filmakers come out of low budget work.

Just bored me to death. Didn't care about anyone in the film at all. Lost interest as soon as they started carrying their cameras everywhere they went even when being attacked or chased.....come on. The main dude goes to check on his girl to see if she is ok after a car accident and takes the camera to film it. he goes to check to see if his friend is dead he films it. WTF. PLEASE! this is a worn out format stop making this type of film. It has lost all reality and interest.

I didn't want to give too low of a rating so the extra star was because I wanted to be nice. Film makers and budding actors have to start somewhere. I watched this on my Kindle. I will admit I had to fast forward frequently because I didn't have the patience to watch the stuff without alien action. Others may like it better than I did. I thought the characters were annoying but all victims in horror films are. I will give this film an E for effort though. Special effects were good. I thought the little alien man was cute. The naked guy was nice to look at. The dog in the beginning was sweet too.
