I purchased the box set as I'd long wanted a Bond collection and they were on special offer. I usually just stream my films from a well known subscription service, and haven't had any blurays to play on my ps4 yet.
First off the picture and sound quality is so much better on these Blu-ray Discs than the streaming services, even when films are supposed to be in HD (or UHD). I was really surprised by this, but I suppose it actually makes sense when you realise they have to compress a movie down to 2 or 3 GBs for you to be able to stream it, and these discs are 50 or 100 GB. I will therefore be investing in more bluray movies in the future, as the improvement in quality is really noticeable. The Bond movies are great in high quality, and I enjoyed Goldeneye in this spectacular experience.
However - I then reached for Dr No, and to my horror discovered Moonraker. Wrong box I thought, and tried the other. Another Moonraker! Nightmare. They had sent two 1979-2002 sub-boxes and completely excluded Connery altogether. Photo attached.
As it was a present I didn't notice until after a month after purchase. Fortunately Amazon were still prepared to accept returns but there was a fight to get the new one at the same price.
Please check your copy to ensure this hasn't happened to you.
