Product Description

Thaddeus (RZA) is back in this explosive action adventure inspired by Kung Fu classics. A reluctant villager joins forces with a mysterious outsider to fight off powerful evil forces, both earthly and otherworldly, in a 19th Century Chinese mining town.

When a stranger, Thaddeus, is found badly wounded near the village, miner Li Kung (Dustin Nguyen) and his wife Ah Ni (Eugenia Kang) offer him refuge.

As he heals, he becomes entrenched in a conflict that pits the townsfolk against the evil Master Ho (Carl Ng), his nefarious Beetle Clan and the terrifying Lord Pi (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa).

If you liked the first film, you should like this one. This is also done in a grindhouse style combining a martial arts film with a hip-hop soundtrack. Part 2 gives you the ending of previous film, which I found to be a confusing mess anyway. You don't have to have seen the first film to enjoy this one, it gives you enough information.

The silver mine is run by Master Ho (Carl Ng) who has enslaved the village to his will with his Beetle Clan. Li (Dustin Nguyen) speaks for the miners and is also a good fighter. Thaddeus (RZA ) gets his butt beat early in the film on his quest to find redemption, Buddha, and inner peace. He and his iron fists float up to the village.

There is also a string of murders happening to young girls. They are getting their chi stolen from them. Rumor claims it is the spirit of Lord Pi who died in the first film. There is the Golden Nectar pool guarded by monks for immortality. They eased up on the plot aspect.

The film boasts plenty of fighting, head rolls, blood squirts, and an exploding body.

Guide: No f-bombs, sex, or nudity.

The RZA is back!! The king of iron fist himself, this time he's on a separate adventure from the previous movie, after a series of events he ends up in a small hidden village that is controlled by an evil ruler who makes slaves of the men to work in the silver mine, he eventually sides with the people to fight against the evil beetle clan and their master to free the village, the story is pretty decent with some good pacing, there's plenty of great fight scenes, especially more towards the end is when the main action takes place, most of the fight scenes are very bloody with limbs flying everywhere and plenty of gore, most of the effects look great but unfortunately the film is let down a tad with the odd crappy CGI moment, the cast is all pretty decent, this is certainly not as good as the original but still great fun, if you love classic kung-Fu martial arts movies or just a good butt kicking movie in general its worth checking out!

Blu-ray picture looks good in HD 1080p
Features include a commentary, deleted scenes, the making of (24-mins approx total time features)
Region free ABC, 87-mins, 2014.

A GREAT SEQUAL. BUT JUST DOESN'T MATCH THE 1ST FILM.
THIS TIME SOME DODGY MR BIG WHO RUNS A TOWN BY MURDURING ANYBODY WHO STANDS UP TO HIM FINALY MEETS HIS MATCH WHEN THE MAN WITH THE IRON FISTS SWANS INTO TOWN. SOME REALLY GOOD FIGHT SCENES.
WORTH ADDING TO AND MOVIE COLLECTION.!
