I ordered this direct from 88 films and as so I received my order 2 weeks early. I have just watched this blu ray and I have to say that I wished I had not bothered ordering it at all.
The blu ray transfer of scalps is absolutely appalling, there is no depth to the picture at all and in some places it is so bad that you can't even see what is going on. The picture is beyond grainy and it looks worse than an old worn out video tape. If 88 films couldn't produce a better blu ray transfer than this, then they shouldn't have bothered releasing this at all,
I own all of the 88 films slasher collection blu rays and while some of them are of questionable quality in regards of their picture quality, this release is by far the worst release so far and they really need to step up their game or customers will just not buy from them.
I understand that this was a low budget horror from 1983 and that some of the scenes had to be inserted from vhs sources but that is no excuse for the poor transfer on the rest of the film, as this blu ray is an absolute failure in my opinion.

Format: DVD
Plot. Students go into the mountains for a dig on an old indian burial site. One of them gets possessed and the killings begin. Film opens with a head being cut off and is pretty much the highlight of this very low budget slasher and while there is a bit more gore later on there's not a lot of scares or tension and the film is rather bland overall. The hoped for scary bits aren't much copp and the special effects are on the poor side.
The film seems very dated now and is nothing more than a curiosity. I think it was supposedly banned at one time but if that is true the reason for that is unknown by me. Could it have been the sleep it induced? Still, I might be wrong but I wasn't all that impressed by the whole thing. It was ok for a few laughs though and I only give it 3star because the com was interesting.
Extras include a com and stills. USA Release Region 1.
