Nasty trash. Unrealistic, behaviouristic, and pretty bloody absolutistic.
A home invasion film, it's daddy is 'Fight For Your Life' ~ which is nowhere near as grim, has a half-decent, self-sense of outlandish-ness and is at least, fun. 'Hate Crime' humourlessly wallows in deviancy and it's sole excuse for existence is grimy 'shock' value, to which even this fades as the film rolls on.
Visually crude, shaky hand-held records the brutality, but rushes amateurishly and ineffectively all over the place. If the spineless, bullying violence or the relentless, racist screaming doesn't deaden your head, the paralysing camera jerking will.

A Jewish family is celebrating a birthday. Some thick-as-lava Neo-Nazis smash their way in and proceed to rape, torture and kill them. That's it - the sum of the show.
It wouldn't be quite so bad if they were minutely composed about it - but every degenerate act is accompanied by the most ghastly bodily over-exaggeration and profane, throat-scraping yelling this side of Jose Mourinho.

Don't be lured in - as this stupid reviewer was - by the fact the BBFC have banned this one. There are no delicious forbidden treasures on display here, just hating and grating (To be honest, every banned dvd film I've ever bought - and there's been a few - has been complete bilge!). I don't understand it: racism is pretty dumb in reality, but surely it HAS to be a brilliant theme for a movie? Imagine the fun you could have..
But apart from 'Birth of a Nation' - to which you could argue the point, anyway - every one I've seen has sucked a massive one.

In simple, cliched terms: 'Hate Crime' is the nadir of a pretty functionless genre. 15 minutes in, and revulsion turns to indifference.Read more ›

I felt a little uneasy going into this one, but bar the anti Semitism, forced son on mother rape and a general nihilism for human life, its one of the better shot on cam 'lost footage' flicks that are outnumbering normal shot films.
Banned outright in UK and I can see why - it isn't pretty, but a limited release uncut (as it would be a limited cult following anyway) wouldn't do any harm...the bbfc have said there is no moralistic ending apart from some type that runs before the credits.
Hmmm thinking a bit more about it now, it is pretty grim and violent. Cool

I've been waiting for the release of of this movie for a longtime. So when i got it through the door i was stoked to actually get to watch it. I really enjoyed this movie, there was no waiting for things to happen it was just straight into the madness. I loved the way it was shot and the actors were great. highly recommend this movie hence the 5 starts. Bravo and well done Mr Bressack!!

The service from the seller was excellent, this review is not relating to that part.
The DVD is so disgusting that in all my years I've never come across anything like it.
It's basically a snuff movie, or makes out to be.
The bigoted hatred shown by the actors in this is hard to describe.
Never even think of putting this on in front of children, or in fact anyone.
I never realised that anyone was allowed to make anything like this or especially even release it.
You have been warned...
