There will be dozens of far more in-depth reviews of this box set than mine, but I felt compelled to add my own 5 star review. I paid only £29 for this seven season box set in the weeks before Christmas, and it would have been outstanding value at twice the price. It's fascinating to watch how the central characters grow and develop over the first seven years, and a particular joy for me is watching Simon Helberg's amazing portrayal of Howard Wolowits, which goes from good to great to exceptional over the seven seasons. His delivery (in one take) of the song for Bernadette in season seven is the stuff that Emmy Awards are made of (though he was somehow overlooked).

Most of the plaudits for Big Bang go to Jim Parsons for his once in a lifetime portrayal of Sheldon Cooper, but the whole cast is excellent here. The writing is for the most part top notch, and the introduction of Amy and Bernadette were timely, and gave scope for character development and expanded story lines. This helped stop Big Bang from going stale and I for one will continue to watch the episodes contained within this fantastic box set over and over and over again. Love it.

Ths is without a doubt one of the greatest tv comedy series i've ever seen. Genius, know-it-all but socially handicapped Sheldon is hilarious, and his roommate Leonard is equally genius, but socially a lot more capable than Sheldon, and is perhaps the only person who can take Sheldon's behavious versus other people, and always has a clear realistic view on the situations that happen. Then we have their two friends, who come by alot and spend a lot of time together, being Raj - who is unable to speak in the company of other women - and only comes loose with booze, and the Jewish Howard who still lives with his mom and regards himself as an awesome playboy, although he doesn't have much success with women lol.
Warning : once you start viewing this series, it is very hard to stop, yes it is THAT addictive, you are warned ;-)

Absolutely fantastic show. The way the main characters all work off each other and the crazy situations that Sheldon ends up getting them into with how he treats people without realising that he's being offensive. He just tells you the truth no matter what and has no time for social niceties. Brilliant comedy. You may not get it on the first episode of watching but it's well worth persevering and sticking with it for a couple of episodes as you get to know the personalities it will have you hooked. Definitely worth a watch.

We missed the early series of The Big Bang Theory so I decided to buy this box set for my son. It is incredible value for money and the show is really, really funny. Buying this meant that over the Christmas period we didn't have to worry about how bad the TV was - we had more than enough to keep us going for two weeks.

What I like about the Big Bang Theory is it parodies nerdish people in a way that they find familiar and funny. This isn't about laughing at the nerds, but more about laughing at human peculiarities while seeing good and bad in all people. Sheldon is a masterpiece of comedy. If you like science and have worked with geeks you'll find this hysterically funny. The academic snobbery is absolutely spot on from what I remember in tier 1 universities.

I have seen most of this comedy series and really enjoy how the relationships of these characters work. I like the underlying complexity of all the relationships from the chaste couple to the bromance. The levels of intelligence and coolness make the show completely relatable for everyone. I have bought the box set as a gift but will get involved with wasting days of back to back watching. Arrived quickly and sealed.

Bought this from Amazon UK since the price was much cheaper than Amazon Spain. The product arrived fast and as described. Note that if you are from Spain or want a Spanish version of it, languages and subtitles in this 1-7 DVD set do not include Spanish. There are English for impaired and English subtitles though, which is perfect for me. Love this sitcom. I fell in love the first time I watched it on tv. That day they were showing the first episode, which is absolutely a masterpiece, and probably the first "pilot" I have ever seen in any sitcom ever produced. Since then, I just wanted to have the dvds and skip the tv commercials. Everybody talks about Sheldon, who is certainly hilarious and unique, but I laugh everytime I see Howard, his talent for languages, and his crazy attempts to hit on girls. Each episode is a 20-minute jewel that will never dissapoint you.

I bought this as a gift for my Big Bang Theory obsessed Mum. It arrived the next day, very well packaged and in good nick. All seven seasons for £30 was a real bargain! Mum's been loving watching them, and it appears to have been the perfect gift.

The Big Bang Theory is a hilarious comedy chronicling the lives of a group of young scientists, an engineer and their friend Penny. Roommates and best friends Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter's geeky and socially inept lives are changed when Penny, a gorgeous waitress and aspiring actress from Omaha, moves into the apartment next door. Penny becomes an unlikely addition to the comic book obsessed group of friends, and they become the weirdest group of best friends you'll meet.

If you love "Friends" and the geeky side of life, then you'll love "The Big Bang Theory"!
