I have watched this dvd 3 times so far and will it again this weekend. A murder for every letter of the alphabet makes for some very cool (if thats the right word) and short short little featurettes. Brilliant!

The trendy expressions 'OMG' and 'WTF' are really the best ways to sum up this collection of tales. Some such as 'M for ...........' left me open-mouthed. In fact all of the tales involving toilets had that effect. This is what I really enjoyed about this collection: it was insane and there was no way of anticipating what outrageous spectacle would come next. Not all of these worked but, hey, it was just refreshing to see something in the horror genre that wasn't like a dozen other films and showed that it is still possible to be outrageous and imaginative.

Everyone who knows me knows that I love drabbles. Drabbles are stories that are exactly 100 words long, this film is like a collection of drabbles. Inspired by the ABC books you read as a child this is a collection of films from different directors all over the world about death. Each film is quite short, only a few minutes each.

As with any collection of short stories these are a varied bunch leading to an uneven watch. Some of the stories are superb, others not so great. With each story being so short it's really a sequence of grim tableaux. And for the most part they are very grim and pretty gruesome to watch.

A few of the stories stand out from the rest. One of the early ones about a dog is a poignant watch. Some are funny, some are sad, the whole spectrum of emotions connected with death can be found here. Be warned that some are quite horrific, XXL where a fat lady trims her weight down is a good example.

It's always tricky rating something like this, many people would be turned of due to the format, which would be a shame. The range of quality also makes it tricky, when it's good it's awesome, for other occasions it is merely ok. If you have a macabre mindset then I'd say this is a fun and worthwhile watch.

Anyone wanting to watch a "film" should probably not bother with this. Being 26 short vignettes, it is very unusual - the good side being that if one of the shorts is boring you, you only have 3 minutes until the next one...
Most of the scenes/stories are worth watching; scary, gross, interesting, funny...there are a few that seem lazy or mundane, but on the whole this is well worth watching. I'm not sure I understood all of them, but I was certainly entertained.
Loved and hated D in equal measure. T was brilliant. Everyone will have their own favourites. I would say watch it with an open mind and you may be surprised.
Looking forward to the sequel already!

I loved this film, sure some of the segments were completely bizarre, some were silly, some scary, some sad. It was a wonderful mix of different approaches and attitudes, I'd strongly recommend it to any horror fans out there.

This film is very similar to V/H/S and V/H/S/2 films, but this time you got 26 segments made by 26 different people.

Most of the segments were fine by me (I'm a horror buff) but some of them were too immature, yet goofy tales. Some of the directors I did know from the film. Ben Wheatley (Kill List), Jake West (Evil Aliens), Xavier Gens (Frontiéres), Timo Tjahjanto (V/H/S/2), Ti West (Cabin Fever 2) and so on.

Go see this if you are open-minded and don't take films too seriously or otherwise you're gonna say that it's complete rubbish. Have to admit, it made me laugh, it grossed me out and it indeed made me think that "How about if I'd make my own letter, would it suck or would it rock?"

IMDB has a score of 4.8 for it, it should be like 6.0 or 7.0. I mean it's good but nothing special.

2,5/5= Bargain bounty, if you find it less than 10 quid, it should be a good buy.

26 directors take a letter of the alphabet each and make a (very) short film about death from a one word title. Pretty cool concept and as you'd expect this creates a mish mash of styles and content.

Some of the efforts are pretty good - Exterminate, Quack and Vagitus I enjoyed for example. Some of the others however are bad beyond belief - Fart, Klutz and WTF for example I found to be abysmal. It's almost worth a watch just to try and comprehend how such garbage can find it's way onto your screen.

Most of the shorts fall in the middle ground, not terrible but just mildly interesting and largely unmemorable. For what it's worth I rated each short out of 5 as I went along (sad? yeah maybe). I wont bore you with it all but the average worked out as just over 2 stars hence the rating above.

For avid horror buffs its maybe still worth a watch, theres a fair few known directors involved and at least the worst parts don't stick around long enough to ruin your whole day.

God knows why this film receives so many mixed reviews. I've been a fan of all types of horror films pretty much all my life and I thought this was absolutely AWESOME! I've seen it twice already!

The concept is just brilliant and I was astonished at the creativity and sheer imagination of some of these directors...I have no earthly idea how they came up with some of the scenarios. Some were funny, some were gruesome, some were silly and some were more dark and twisted...ALL were entertaining however! My favourites were the words for the letters D, F, H, K, L, N, Q, R, S, T, Y and Z. They were all good really but those ones stood out to me as being the most impressive creatively.

So yeah, as I said earlier I simply don't understand the negativity at all. I can only assume that people didn't properly understand what they were getting into before watching/buying this film. My recommendation is simply this:

If (like me), you think the premise of the film sounds fun, innovative, intriguing and something completely original, then watch this film!

Pretty simple really!
