Product Description

Product Description

Diana (Claudia Koll) and Paolo (Paolo Lanza) are happily married despite her much greater sexual appetite: he s content to simply listen to the stories of her various adventures. But when she has an affair that s much too close to home, he throws her out, and she moves into a Venetian flat to embark upon an erotic voyage of discovery, while at the same time trying to win him back.

Loosely inspired by the Mozart opera Così fan tutte (the title is a direct translation), the film tackles a crucial question: why shouldn t women enjoy the same sexual freedom that they ve long had to tolerate in their men? Especially when they have such shapely and inviting rears?

Once again, Tinto Brass proves his unmatched skill at balancing eroticism and humour in this lively and beautifully photographed comedy, both wittier and more sexually explicit than the average softcore romp.

With its star's bottom looming large on the cover, erotic adventure All Ladies Do It is clearly the work of Italian director Tinto Brass. It is another tale of a young woman and her quest to fulfil her sexual desires, in this case Claudia Koll's Diane, who embarks on a series of casual affairs much to the interest of husband Paul who, assuming that her tales are merely the product of an active imagination, finds himself aroused by their content. In the meantime, Diane is increasing her circle of lovers before a trip to Venice threatens to bring her dual life crashing down.

The plot is frankly secondary to Brass' appreciation of the female form (absolutely no opportunity is missed to focus on Koll's behind) and it all becomes a little ludicrous. The original Italian title ("Cosi fan tutte") is derived from Mozart's comic opera but, unlike the opera's convoluted sexual politics, here there is only a rather confused attempt at expressing a quasi-feminist message about female independence. All Ladies Do It is best viewed as a piece of glossy titillation and nothing more.

On the DVD: Brass certainly knows how to make the best of a location and there are some exceptionally beautiful shots of Venice to be found among the carnal adventures. The extras include a filmography and photo gallery as well as a low quality but telling interview with the director, during which he expounds on a rather strange theory regarding women's bottoms and the fact that, unlike their faces, they cannot lie. --Phil Udell --This text refers to the DVD edition.

As an erotic film, All Ladies do it bears the Tinto Brass trademark, even if I would not rank it among its finest achievements: a cast of mesmerisingly beautiful women, enchanting cinematography and music, imaginative action - if only the acting was up to scratch. Like most Brass creations, paradoxiaclly enough for an erotic work, this is an auteur's movie. There are moments when the film slips towards hardcore and this does not always add to the erotic effect, but generally Brass negotiates insinuation and gratification in a masterly fashion. I am sorry to say, nevertheless, that the quality of the English DVD is abysmal. I will never understand the rationale of dubbing in a literate era. At some point Anglophone audiences should revolt against this downright underestimation of their intelligence and sensitivity.

I was advised to purchase this video but a friend who was studying film history, with particular reference to Tinto Brass.
'All Ladies Do It' is about a bored housewife (aren't they all!?) who decides, with her husbands blessing, to embark on a series of affairs, all of them focused on (and in) her bottom!
The film is well made, although I watched a dubbed version, which removes some of the mystery and appeal from it, as the voices are somewhat irritating. I would have preferred to watch a subtitled version.
Nevertheless, the movie is both titillating and entertaining, although not Tinto Brass' best work by long way.

This movie is excellent and should be viewed by all couples. There is very little offensive material - all left for the imagination. I specially like the camera concentration on the female body - mainly the bottom.

Fun and superficial romp that simply states that sexual betrayal is natural, normal and, in fact, essential - especially if the woman is married to a dull husband.

Tinto Brass believes the lies of women can be detected by looking at their behinds - like reading their palms. He also believes that Western culture makes sex dirty and that his erotica is a solution to the problem of enjoying oneself without guilt or shame within such a culture.

Although an essentially-correct criticism of the baleful affects of Christianity upon the soul, such an argument can easily be used by mediocre talents to try to conceal their own mediocrity. Such is the case here where, although the girls are lovely to look at, there is no real emotional trajectory to make all the nudity and sex on show an enjoyable and/or fulfilling psychological experience.

Brass’s real goal is to make watching naked girls - young enough to be his grand-daughter - an experience where he contrives to feel no guilt or shame. A classic dirty old man, this aspect of his work infuses it throughout; making one feel a little queasy despite the heterosexual pleasure afforded.

Feminine and delightfully frisky to perfection, Claudia KOLL makes the whole thing watchable by playing the part of the girl who wants to be craved by men (headstrong, willful and disobedient): She very obviously enjoys playing out the director’s sexual fantasies and, possibly, her own. If ever proof were needed, this movie demonstrates that Christian countries produce the most porn.

Unlike Russ Meyer’s bosom fetish, Brass is a buttock man who tries to justify the very thing he implies needs no justification. This is really guilt without sex - not the other way around - but without the Meyeresque solace of a hearty sense of humor. The film is, however, very stylish; emphasizing the fantasy aspect to the whole thing along with the females’ obvious enjoyment of their own carnality.

If you like a bawdy Tinto Brass film...you will love this and in blue-ray. Plenty of bottoms and cleavage, a very amusing film a little in the Carry On type of Comedy Film.
The story set in Venice is very amusing can watch this with your wife or partner, could camera work, and such focus on ladies bottoms, very amusing, if you like Tinto Brass...this is for you.

Tinto Brass does it again - of course. Attractive women and a plot that just holds together to deliver the action that Tinto Brass is good at. Hot
