*Some spoilers*
After reading some reviews on here that have under 3*, I am confused. Most people are saying it didn't have a good ending, but I thought that it did. The magicians got what they wanted and the plot twist was great with who the 5th horseman was...so unexpected! I understand why people think that was unrealistic, but after all this whole film is about magic so why are people surprised when the plot twist is unrealistic? The only bit of the ending I didn't like was when Morgan Freeman was in prison. He's too good for that! :(
Overall I loved this film! Every show they did was so unexpected and left me in awe, wondering how it worked! I liked the fact that Morgan Freeman's character worked this out each time because it made him likeable and made me feel like I understood the plot, and could guess what was going to happen next. I watched 'Now you see me' twice in two days, and I was gripped the whole time! It's not my usual genre of film, but I loved it all the same. Awesome and mind-boggling film! :)

The film opens with four quick character introductions of "street" magicians. Daniel (Jesse Eisenberg) uses street magic to meet pretty women. His former assistant Henley (Isla "Legs" Fisher) does a stage act. McKinney (Woody Harrelson) is a hypnotist who uses his ability to shake down people. Jack (Dave Franco) uses his slight of hand to pick pocket people.

The four are summoned by Tarot cards (Lover, High Priestess, The Fool, and Death) to a common location. After the credits they become the world's greatest stage magicians while performing crime. They are followed by FBI Dylan (Mark Ruffalo) and Interpol Alma Dray (Mélanie Laurent). Meanwhile Thaddeus Bradley (Morgan Freeman) is exposing their seemingly impossible tricks on the Internet.

The film keeps you interested as to their next trick. The movie drops clues as to what is going on, but again there is the classic misdirection here too. It is s fun popcorn action film filled with mystery, drama, action, and humor.

Parental Guide: One f-bomb. no sex, or nudity. Some sex discussion. Woman in bra.

I'm a big fan of magic, but it just doesn't work here. The film does a great job of explaining some things whilst also sweeping some inconsistencies under the rug, it also fails to show any proper motivation for the main cast's actions. The plot whilst littered with random tricks is mostly predictable and failed to hold my interest past the 30 minute mark. Whilst the acting isn't bad it certainly isn't enough to rescue the poor writing that drags this film down. A real shame and honestly I didn't come with high expectations yet they were still shattered.

I'd seen so many trailers of this movie, all of my friends had recommend this one was a good movie to go and see at the cinema. I actually missed the chance to go, but from buying it one afternoon, I can say, I was actually very impressed. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, all, I will say is four very clever magicians and a twist, that you will not be expecting.

Oceans Eleven meets Hustle, as magicians (Eisenberg, Fisher, Harrelson & Franco) representing different disciplines of big illusions, hypnotism and street magic are brought together to form a super group 'Four Horseman' performing in front of huge audiences in Vegas. An impressive illusion has an audience member thinking he is robbing a bank in Paris.

When the real bank is in fact robbed, the Feds led by Mark Ruffalo are brought in to see if there really is any connection. He is joined by Melanie Laurent from Interpol, mainly to offer a potential love interest and Gallic attitude of open mindedness rather than for her detective skills. Further heists take place and Morgan Freeman's character, a former magician turned illusion debunker is also brought in to assist the Feds.

There are impressive visuals and a Robin Hood vibe to keep you interested but contrary to the tag line, the closer you look the more you want to pick holes in the plot. Best to sit back and take it on entertainment face value

I just don't understand how this movie gets a single review above 3 stars. It's awful. Nice idea but the execution is terrible. Apparently it has earned $350m worldwide, I'm in the wrong business, I could write something better while in the bath. All the top names in Hollywood couldn't polish this turd.

An unusual, entertaining and thought provoking film. It's the story of four magicians, each with unique talents, who are summoned to a mysterious meeting before eventually seeming to rob a bank during their show. They are pursued by the FBI and a man who seeks to uncover and expose them. But what is real and what is illusion?
An intelligent and engaging film with a good cast. If you enjoy a film that makes you think, this is definitely worth a go.

Fantastic movie! Loved every second. The only flaw this movie has is that if you don't pay attention 100% and you miss something, you won't quite understand what is going on. Deserves two watches to fully appreciate this film
