A couple going away for the weekend are driven off the road by the local idiots, when they reach the weekend getaway the aggressive motorists break in and subject the couple to a violent attack eventually leading the rape of the woman. Later she snaps and turns the tables on them.

Made in the mid 70's at a time when many similar films were made this one stands out because of it's star quality, acting and overall production not seeming a low budget sleaze piece like many of it's contemporary's. Starring Brenda Vaccaro, Don Stroud and Chuck Shamata, all of the male stars/characters give solid performances although most of the characters are a little clichéd, but it really is Vaccaro's time to shine and she does not disappoint from being the afraid victim to getting her bloody revenge she gives in what effectively is an exploitation movie an outstanding performance. The plot is nothing majorly original and the intensity of the story does slow the pace in the first 45-50mins, however its never boring and when it hits its stride you can't turn away.

An outstanding Canadian, rape revenge/home invasion horror thriller, one of the best movies caught in the Video Nasty trawl (this was on the section 3 list). The dvd release from Desert Island Discs isn't great clearly taken from a poor quality VHS tape but it's a film that should you get hold off you won't be disappointed. 4.5/5

The audio and visuals on this juddery print do not synchronize, therefore the cast speak and the sound follows a couple of seconds later. Do not waste your money.
