This is a good story with a great deal of humour for a delicate subject. It explores the sexual activities of all members of the family after a son is disciplined at school for inappropriate behaviour. The film's depiction of the widowed grandfather's sexual needs was very sensitively handled. As another reviewer has said, despite an 18 certificate, the sex scenes are cut to such a degree that it looks like soft porn from 15 years back. This is is contrast to the honesty of the dialogue. Frankly, this spoiled the overall film.

Having seen part of the movie online, I was shocked how much of the film was cut in this version. I am an adult, and am insulted by this blatant and patronising censorship. That said, the film is watchable, though the plot is tissue thin, it gives an interesting insight into French attitudes and morals, very similar to our own.
I would suggest renting or streaming the film prior to purchase.

I won't explain the plot of the story as reviewers have already done this.

But it's not a bad movie, but the plot is a little thin. I bought the uncut version which is 84 minutes long and therefor is sexually graphic but it is tastefully done. This is not shot as a porn movie, but some scenes are quite graphic.
It's not necessary to understand what is being said (my copy is a French language/German subtitled) one, it's mostly one sex scene after another.

Personally I think there are better movies to be bought, like 9 Songs, which is far more sexually graphic than this one, but this is okay if you've got nothing else to watch!

Why is this amazing film brutally censured? You can buy other explicit main stream films on Amazon...9 Songs, Shortbus ect.....in fact 9 Songs is far more explicit! I have watched this film online anyway so why pay this rip off price???? Such a shame.

Its important to make sure that you watch the uncut version here as this is up there with short bus or 9 songs actually showing sex as it is , what a refreshing change from the fakery of porn , This is the story of a families attitude and openness to sex and the sexual frustration then confidence of their youngest son . Particularly great in the way it openly shows the grandfather being sexual .
