This 4 DVD Box Set consists of the same 3 DVD Box Set "Glastonbury The Movie" released by Mensch Films in 2007 plus an "Add On" DVD "Glastonbury The Movie In Flashback". The "Add On" DVD includes a code number for a one time Digital Download of the film which is supplied in a cardboard sleeve shrink wrapped to the 3 DVD Box Set.

The set of 4 dvds is:
A separate no extras original cut of the movie 87mins long.
A three DVD box set which comprises:
Disc 1 is yet another cut of the movie this time 96 mins long, and then lots of audio & visual extras that can be viewed interactive with the film or alone. However to watch them alone is not easy, you have to find them rather than convenient seperated section.
Disc 2 is yet another cut of the film but with enough extras that you can if you want watch it as a continuous stream that would last 38hour's - yes, 38hrs. Don't get too excited though, most aren't worth it.
Disc 3. Surprisingly is great. Full of fun extras that for me were better than the original film.

I found the original film to lack enough music & indeed variety of music. I would seriously recommend the Julien Temple Glastonbury DVD instead as a better all encompassing document of a festival. Instead this movie (Glastonbury the movie) centres of one year.

I'm a festival lover and this is undoubtedly the most truthful representation of what it is like to be in the vortex of Glastonbury that I've come across. It's a knowing and accurate account of the on-site experience, a real sense of being there and not about cameras shoved in front of whoever happens to be on stage. It's a million miles away from the formulaic TV coverage you get year in year out and that's what makes it so precious. My first viewing was in a room full of festival fans. We cranked it up through my 5.1 system and everyone commented on how stonking the soundtrack was. Those criticisms I'm reading here knocking it for video or sound quality don't make sense to me. The main feature looks as crisp as it should. There are a number of archive shots that look a bit dated for obvious reasons but the film stuff looks lush. Beautiful photography. It's very harsh to give one star for the sake of a few wonky shots. It's a loving and often very funny overview of Glastonbury. Have just started going through the extras. There's a ton more stuff to go through. 12 hours of video I'm told. The Channel 4 documentary on disk 4 is an entire film in itself. The `Follow The Cow' feature on disk 2 looks like fun and on disk 3 there's some sort of `edit your own' multi-angle version. Will edit this review later once I've properly digested the lot. Packaging it lovely, there's a free download code, a poster and booklet. In short this is great value.
