See Linda Blair (The Exorcist) take bloody revenge on a gang of low down dirty street punks in Savage Streets, a brutal journey into rape, violence, switchblades and bear traps.

When Brenda (Blair) and her all-girl gang of tough talking chicks, The Satins, refuse to party with a car full of local drug pushers called The Scars, the girls think nothing of it, but they didn t reckon on the bruised ego of Jake and his feral pack of no good thugs. This is a great 80s revenge film, Linda Blair is very sexy indeed in this film as the lead, a tough as nails girl who runs around with her girl gang having a good time until her younger sister meets foul play at the hands of a gang of four boys, then its payback time!! This is a very well made hip 80s film with some good acting and some good bloody revenge death scenes and nudity, if you like 80s classics then this is a must even if its for the smoking hot Linda Blair.

Linda Blair in glorious 80s make up with a bunch of gals that look the part, what more could you want? Savage Streets is about Blair's revenge on a group of thugs who rape her sister. But they have no idea just how kick ass mad her character is and she aims to take revenge one by one.

Cynical in parts, great in others but it is missing something- that's not to say that it isn't a good movie for what it is because it is. This Arrow release is becoming as rare as hens teeth and has a great retro cover to boot, booklet and all the works, and of course this is uncut.

Brenda, her deaf mute sister Heather and three friends are out one night, when Heather, unable to hear a car coming, steps out onto the road. Almost getting run over, the car stops and the girls instantly know the cars occupants, "the scars", a gang of dope dealers and street hustlers. Instead of getting an apology from the gang for almost hitting Heather, the girls are propositioned for sex and drugs. After a little more shouting at each other, the gang drives off to collect money from one of their "customers". A little while later, the girls see the car and decide to steal it to get their own back. The gang later discover the car abandoned and full of garbage.

A day or two after the car incident, the gang are at the school to deliver a beating to a student. One of the gang spot Heather walking into the gym, everybody goes to shower leaving Heather alone while she waits for Brenda to walk her home. One of the gang starts talking to Heather and she tries to show him some sign language. He then tries to force himself on her and she tries to escape, only to bump into the rest of the gang who then take turns to rape and beat her. Brenda and her friends go looking for Heather only to find her unconscious and bloodied on the floor, she's taken to hospital and placed in critical condition.

After another altercation between the leader of the gang called Jake and Brenda's friend, Francine, a member of the gang gains a conscience and goes to the hospital to apologise to Heather, who is in a coma. Brenda happens to walk in and forces the information out of him regarding who's responsible for the rape, armed with this information, Brenda sets out on a one woman vigilante mission to bring the gang to justice, armed with a crossbow, bear traps and a switchblade.

Well what can I say, wonderful movie if you like the usual Linda Blair stuff. First bought this movie on VHS tape, then found it on DVD. It's not everyone's cup of tea, it's a film that you would like "for old time sake" I love it. Great for a cold wet Sunday after noon.

savage streets finally comes to region 2 dvd with a nice release from arrow films. the picture quality is quite good and this comes with the usual array of arrow extras, including collectors booklet and poster and reversible cover.the only downside with this release is the audio quality,it sounds much to tinny and could have been much better, but overall arrow has done a nice job with this release.i won't give away to much of the plot, incase there are people out there who have not seen this movie but,it's basically a death wish type film, with linda blair as the leader of a gang who's sister is raped and left for dead by a nasty gang of thugs who get there kicks from hurting people, needless to say they all end up wishing they had never been born,as armed with crossbow and bear traps, blair makes them pay for what they did to her sister.i have given this film 4 stars and if the audio on the disc would have been better,i might have given it 5 stars.this really is a nasty little revenge thriller, but it is an enjoyable movie and in my opinion is one of the better revenge thrillers!
