Just as much fun as usual with very little evidence found but who cares - I love it. Too much screaming from Cath though - get a grip girl - you'll frighten the ghosts away. Hope there is more to come.

Found this last series very good and there was definitely a few points at which both myself and my husband said, no way, that has to be real and not a set-up. Having said that, it was very frustrating that when the most interesting things happened, the parapsychologist Ciaran O'Keefe, always seemed to ignore the things that happened that seemed to be real and focused on things that didn't matter as much and mostly commented on the things that happened personally to him and not others. Also I got the impression that through nearly all of the 13 series's before he discounted practically everything that happened as being paranormal but in this last series he was saying in the majority of them that he was leaning more towards the paranormal explanation for things that happened. I thought that maybe the idea behind this was maybe they knew it was the last season and possibly hoping the show would be taken up for another series, they suggested to him to be more agreeable to the possibility of the paranormal so it would more likely be taken up for another series. Also a bit strange that in Series 13 and 14 Yvette wears the same outfit for practically every episode, she never did that before. Also her makeup artist constantly saying that she feels something touching her head and hearing stuff in nearly every series gets old and her constantly screaming at everything nearly making you deaf is a turnoff. The most believable character in this show is Stuart and totally believable as he doesn't seem to be the type of person to make something up just for the viewers.Read more ›

Anything that involves the paranormal is always going to get some speculation as to whether it is real or not.
I've always been a fan of MH and whether its real or not its good entertainment.
Series 14 has got to be one of my favourite series, mainly because in the later series Yvette is a lot calmer than she was and not screaming every five minutes! Getting rid of Derek Acorah was a great decision as he was ALWAYS getting posessed and most of the information he was giving out couldn't be matched to any of the history which used to frustrate me so much. Chris Conway is one of my favourite Mediums, he gets a lot of the stuff right and is very calm..i just wish Yvette would let him speak though instead of talking over him every time there is a slight bang.
The historian on the series Lesley is no Richard Felix but i enjoy her way of talking and find her quite amusing.

However i do find this series quite frustrating in parts..Yvette can be sometimes very rude to people and as i said before talking over the mediums.
I also really dont know why Cath goes on the visuals with them to be honest as all she does is scream and claim something is touching her head. Another frustration that i have with not only this series but all of them is the swearing!! when something is heard all you can hear is the swearing being bleeped out so you hardly know what is going on.. i find myself shouting at them to shut up.

Ciaran O'keefe appears to be a lot less skeptical in this series and doesnt really mention the most important things that happened over the night..maybe hes finally changed his mind on the paranormal.

The locations on this series 14 are mostly good. In my opinion, the locations are the salt of this whole program. All those manor houses, castles and cottages. Would like to visit all of them. And yes, all the paranormal activity must be faked, but you don't remember that when you are watching. I'd like to think that there really is something out there...
One thing that I hate is the MH teams reactions to the noises and all. Everybody screaming like crazy. You can barely hear them yourself. And all that swearing. All that screaming is annoying me the most.
But I do like their medium, Chris Conway! He's not acting, not over doing it, and he's so sweet!!! He should have been the resident medium all the time. Also I miss Richard Felix, but Leslie Smith is very good too. I do like hearing about the history of the buildings.

This was the best so far. I love these as sheer entertainment, but am quite skeptical at the same time. The investigations seem more scientific and controlled, in comparison to earlier programmes. It's interesting to watch the ever calm, objective and academic Ciaran O'Keefe's reactions - they are the most convincing aspects of this programme, and do make me more open to the fact that there might be 'something else' out there!

I have always liked Most Haunted, right from the very first series. I want to try and collect the whole series. I have some of the early DVDs but I now need to get the rest of them. It's a shame that 14 was Evette's last one. She'll be a tough act to follow, that's if Most Haunted will be continuing.
