I think there is a lot of clash between those that enjoy this film and those that don't. Personally, I fall into the category of those that did enjoy it. The main arguments for liking or disliking this particular film is whether you find the humour funny or not. Some of the scenes had me chuckling with childish glee; the one that springs to mind is one of Edward juggling a bowling ball, an apple and a baby before catching all 3 items in a school bag with the bowling ball coming AFTER the baby. Sounds morbid, but I liked it.

Maybe it's a childish sense of humour that allows me to enjoy this film, or maybe I'm easily pleased. Either way, people will either really like this film or hate it. I personally enjoyed it. There isn't anything ground-breaking that will leave you thinking "HOLY HELL FILM OF THE YEAR MATERIAL HERE GUYS", but it kept me occupied and gave me some laughs for an hour or two.

So in my personal case, I'd recommend this film to anyone who likes spoof films, dislikes Twilight intensely, or even likes twilight and is of a mature enough mind to enjoy spoofs and mick-takes of films they enjoy. God only knows I've heard a few Twilight hardcore fans attacking this film saying it's childish and immature; Really?! Were you expecting some ground-breaking and insightful film that critically analyses every key element of Twilight? But I digress; I recommend. Give it a go; you might actually enjoy it.

My 11 and 7 year-old nieces loved the living cheeses out of this piece of trash, and they love the Twilight franchise, so I think what may be the problem for those like myself who felt Vampires Suck was not just a terrible comedy but an artifact of a culture in decline is not how bad it is, but rather that we bought into the hype of when it tried to tell us it was a searing indictment of Twilight rather than something piggybacking on its success. Instead of actual jokes, we get a string of references and what sounds suspiciously like internet comments quoted verbatim in the script "I'm a humorless type. Cold. For some reason hot guys all want me." The impression I have of it is that the makers wanted to make something that wouldn't offend the people who made/liked the Twilight movies, and on that score it seems to be doing well, with a mix of pratfalls and silly noises to keep the attention onscreen when the lack of jokes becomes apparant.

I think if you wanted someone who was a big fan of the current crop of effeminate screen vamps to watch it, there's a good chance they'll like it, or at the very least you can laugh it off as a gag on your part because despite appearances and contrary to how the film is advertised there isn't a lot of cynicism on display here, it just seems to be juvenile and knockabout and if you take it in that spirit you'll likely get along with it just fine. If you're expecting a merciless satire, however, you have only yourself to blame when you're disappointed.

If you have not seen at the least the first of the 'Twilight' films i doubt you could possibly find thsi film funny at all and may account for some of the negative reviews. It is basically a send up of the first 'Twilight' film following almost the same plot wit ha few extras and ommissions but savagely satirising the whole thing. The lead actress has really studied the original and her send-up of the mannerisms of the original actress will have you in stitches. It is low-budget but really well done. It starts off a bit slow and we were not going to bother watching it out based on the first 10-15 minutes but it is worth persevering with as it does get hilariously funny in the middle and then cools down a bit towards the end. I'm sure this film will upset hardcore fans of 'Twilight' and I;'m sure some people won't find it funny at all or find different parts funny but we definitely had a good laugh and thought it well worth watching even if an old friend of mine had told me it was rubbish ... but then, he's a vampire. :-)

A spoof on the Twilight Saga, the vampire craze of the moment, and pretty much all other TV shows and popular things right now.

It wasn't actually as funny as I thought it would be. Clever, but not LOL material (well, a couple of LOL bits but as spoofs go, not that funny).

Jenn Proske does a great job of Kirsten Stuart as Bella, really down to a T. And Matt Lanter does a good Edward as well, and is better looking than the original.

Not worth buying but an OK film to pass some time if you're looking for a laugh.

This film was great, I really enjoyed watching it and it was really funny. Some twilight fans might not enjoy it, but if you don't take twlight to seriously this is a great film for you. A lot better than I thought it would be :D

I have not seen any of the Twighlight movies or read any of the books. But I know enough from the hype surrounding them to be able to watch and appreciate this movie.

I found Vampires Sucks to be reasonably entertaining and watchable. However, it was not laugh a minute for me. But it was still good enough to keep me entertained and engaged.

I think to appreciate this movie in any way, you must have some sort of knowledge about Twighlight and be interested in in vampire pop-culture to some degree.

For me it is decent, but not great. It is about the same as Not Another Teen movie, better that Date Movie, but not as good as Scary Movie 3 or Airplane which are my favourite spoofs.
