In this 2009 horror, a young woman [billed as ‘The Girl’, America Olivo], enters a bedroom and finds a man and a woman tied to chairs, she acts shocked, but it is soon revealed that she murdered them. She then leaves the house to continue on her murder spree, but what’s driving it and who’s next, perhaps Don, who she’s stalking?
An obvious 18 rating with swearing, sadistic torture, body mutilations –involving many household implements, multiple murders and scenes of sex [non explicit], this still has some humorous moments, such as when she cuts herself, and it’s obvious this doesn’t take itself entirely seriously. It’s a sort of ’Saw’ meets ’Julia X’ with a ‘Groundhog Day’ element thrown in as the timeline seems all over the place, or is that down to Don’ ‘stoner’ lifestyle?
The single disc opens to 3 trailers then offers play, scene selection, audio options [2.o default, 5.1, and 2 audio commentaries] and bonus features [2 commentaries, behind the scenes, fight scene, gag reel]. Gore fans will like the lashings of blood, sickening torture and special effects [even if many are poorly done], while there are a few jumpy scary moments to liven things up but those seeking answers or a deep plot will be disappointed. You’ll either love this, or hate it, there’s really little middle ground with this twisted tale that captures the ‘B’ movie spirit, and I liked the ending……….

I bought neighbor & sensored and having watched both I would say neighbor has a good cast & special effects but is a bit slow at times.If your looking for a really good torture/horror movie I would recommend Sensored [DVD] which is far superior to neighbor.7/10

This film contained graphic torture scenes if you're into that kind of thing, and on the plus side there was some good acting from the main character, played by America Olivo.
Miss Olivo really was the only redeeming feature of this film, as she made an extremely evil killer with an unsavoury sense of mischief.
Unfortunately, the plot was almost non-existent, and it was difficult to tell what actually had happened, and what was imagined by the main victim. To sum up, I was left puzzled, and worn out after all the gratuitous violence. Pointless, and not worth spending your money on.

Although we know who the killer is right from the start when a pretty girl kills a few people, things start to get really interesting when she ties up some guy and begins to torture him, but he is not the only one. Some of the scenes are definitely not for the squeemish as the special effects are probably the star of the film. If i was to say that if this had been made in the 80s it would have been banned. Extras include 2 coms, behind the scenes and more. Region 1. Film is Subtitled, but extras are not.

A young woman goes from house to house torturing (punishing) people she doesn't know; because they live in 'nice' houses..
it is repetitive and the script not remotely interesting, nor meaningful. It is a slew of injuries; for the sake of it..

The scenes referencing the 'party', wherein 'she' preps 'snacks' ; 3 bottles of fizzy juice and one dish of snacks; about sums up the whole movie.. it's a party to avoid!!!

There is no explanation offered for actions, and no twist...

The acting is poor, storyline disengaging and once you have seen the first 10 minutes; the repeat performances, hashed about, make you want the film to end.

There is not one remotely interesting facet about this story that could make me recommend it, not even for the horror genre. Cheap budget nasty..

What a waste of my time! I kept watching, just hoping a story line might emerge but it never did. If you enjoy senseless torture porn you'll probably enjoy this but if you're a serious horror fan, don't waste your time on this rubbish. It's probably just cashing in on the home invasion/ torture porn craze sweeping the horror world at the moment but clearly no-one told the film-maker that the film actually needed a story and characters us viewers could engage with. Instead we got some psychotic 30-something bumping people off left, right and centre for no apparent reason. Utter drivel!

This is just off the wall in terms of entertainment. A brilliant low budget exploitation movie that certainly does not pull it's punches. America Olivo is well cast as the psychopath with no name. All she does in a nutshell is get into a persons home,then torture and kill whoever is there. Then moves on. Very simple really. Heck though she really goes all out in this movie. Am a huge fan of her,especially when she plays unbalanced characters such as this,she does them so well too. I just hope a part 2 is being considered,or even being made now?

awesome no-brainer. seriously: who is she? what does she want? where does she go? but who cares? as long as she is portraied by America Olivio... starts with senseless torture, continues with it and (you guessed it) ends with a lot of mutilated bodies in the basement. why is never explained but the gore is wet and red and if you dig that stuff...here's a wet dream come true for you.but make sure to watch the uncut version, or you'll miss a lot (i.e. german rental misses more than 4min of the good stuff! which is nearly all of it!) now go and have fun with your neighbor...
