Listening to this album is like hearing each of these very well-known songs for the first time. Dylan is a great interpreter of song and it is proved yet again on this collection. He is like the wizened old man in a pub, playing the piano while everyone gathers round. It's brilliantly played, produced, performed... plus it's fun, sentimental, sweet, sincere, classy and FUNNY (one of Dylan's most under appreciated talents is his humour).

So why all the fuss? Not that I object to a little bewilderment, but it's hilarious to see how wound up his 'fans' get, instead of just appreciating that Bob Dylan is ALIVE and RECORDING nearly 50 YEARS after his first album!

This is brilliant!

clearly Bob loves this music;he adds the right amount of nostalgia to these much loved songs.i know his voice is something to get used to;and at times on this album he sings ones that are beyond his range;and are a little embarrassing,but overall i love this album

I was a little sceptical to say the least. Bob Dylan singing Christmas songs, surely not! Strange bedfellows indeed, but amazingly it works very well. Have a listen, there's something about Dylan's rasping voice that adds something to all tracks on this album. On top of this the royalties are being donated to a very worthwhile charitable cause. Go out and get an early Christmas present!
