This 2009 RomCom [aka; Deep in the Valley] follows Lester Watts (Chris Pratt) who works at a liquor store and happily spends his spare money on his porno collection. When his best friend Carl (Brendan Hines) wants to leave his corporate job and falls out with his domineering British fiancé the two friends have a beer and when a vintage porn viewer machine is delivered they end up in the alternate ‘porn flick’ dimension of Deep Valley, but their troubles, or fun, are just starting.
It’s clever, it’s funny, it’s a land where the fridge is full of squirt cream and honey, all the houses are sorority houses, the girls always shower in pairs, where wet T shirt contests and cheerleading practice fill the day between giving sponge baths at the hospital. Lester thinks he’s in heaven and Carl thinks it’s a drunken dream. What more needs to be said?
The single disc opens to 3 trailers, then goes to main menu offering play, scene selection and set up [5.1/2,0 audio] but no subtitles or hard of hearing. This is the kind of film to watch with your mates or partner but not your parents or children. Given the risqué subject matter this isn’t the sleazy movie many will expect, there is no actual sex, although it is discussed, the nudity is very ’Benny Hill’ or ’Carry On’ and it’s full of ‘late night’ Tv clichés and has plenty of bad acting, cheesy lines and is full of adult themes, but this firmly remains a 15 rating only. It’s like ‘Porky’s’, ‘American Pie’ and ‘Police Academy’ mixed with ‘Boogie Nights’ and surprisingly this ends up having a moral tale.

It's not going to win any awards and isn't exactly an American Pie or Road Trip classic for the genre, but it does have amusing moments if you watch it with an open mind - think of the episode of Friends (The One WIth Free Porn) and imagine the sort of film someone would make if actors less talented than Matt Le Blanc and Matthew Perry got transported to a world where adult films were reality. It's not clever, but it is quite good fun.

American Hot Babes, or Deep in the Valley as it is also known, is what it set out to be: a switch off the brain and be entertained movie. A movie to put on in the evening, ignore the plot and enjoy the vast array of gorgeous actresses that are sent your way. And, so long as you bear that in mind, this is an OK film.

Admittedly, the plot isn't much cop. And nor is the acting. But the film has good production values and pretty enough girls with little enough on that, personally, I was mostly able to ignore all that. The basic idea (two guys get transported into a porn universe) is good enough, and, though very little of it makes any sense, it is somewhat compelling watching once you get going. Even if it's just to see what the next ludicrously set up porn situation is.

Overall, this is a film probably worth renting rather than buying, as the first time of watching is likely to be enough for anyone to digest all there is to digest. An OK watch.

The premise of this film is that 2 guys get transported to another dimension where everyone in it act like they're in a classic porn movie.
Now this idea could have been truly great. If you think of all the porn cheesiness and stereotypes there is huge scope for some truly hilarious comedy.
Unfortunately I don't think the writers have ever seen porn in their lives, as they have not utilised it at all. The streotypes they have used are the blatantly obvious ones that have been used in movies countless times before, and have been used in such a way that is not even remotely funny.
Not that the acting matters in this kind of movie, but even so it is truly awful here.
The only saving grace in this movie is the 2 cops (a dominatrix women and an obsessed male that always 'gets' his man), who provide the only slightly humorous moments. Oh and there many seriously hot women in it. :D
Sadly I don't think I laughed out loud a single time during this movie, but smiled several times.
If you love the genre then it might be worth shelling out the few quid it costs, but everyone else avoid it like the plague.

Just buy this one!!!! It is quite impossible to find something worse. The writers should be put in jail for life!!! Lobotomy is not necessary, they already have no brain!
I wish I could rate this "movie" with less than 1 star (zero or even negative) but it is not possible.

Ever since American Pie made it popular to flash girls boobs there has been loads of films thinking the more pointless nudity the better the film, this film had the cheese factor and for two guys who enter a universe where porn is real NOTHING SEXUAL REALLY HAPPENS. As always with this type of film we have a well known actor who should be getting naked because of her character but doesn't. Watch another comedy similar but with at least 3 stars plus.

I had my doubts about this film as it hasn't previously been rated too well but I thought I'd give it a go, and am glad I did. Although the storyline is a bit, odd. The over film is definately worth it, there has a lot of slap-stick comedy moments that often left me sat in stitches. However with this comes the rather adult genre and theme; it's not a film to watch with the family but with mates it's a brilliant watch!
