Synopsis

I don't usually purchase DVD'S of TV comedy shows - why should I fork out my hard earned cash to watch something that will probably be repeated on TV dozens of times anyway? In any case, after the third or fourth viewing the jokes have usually become so familiar that they cease to be quite as funny as they were at first.

I made an exception for this DVD though and I am delighted I did; I have now watched it half a dozen times and I still find it very, very funny and, quite frankly, if the contents ARE repeated on TV I will watch them too.

The DVD contains about a hour of clips from the TV show, and as a bonus, thirty minutes or so of unseen clips and out-takes. These are fine but not to the high standard of the normal clips (predictably, because if they were good they would have featured on the TV show).

I will now be buying TV Burp Gold Volume 1.

An expertly picked compilation of another great series from Harry Hill, `TV Burp Gold 2' is a must buy purchase for anyone who loves the zany genius of Harry Hill. Including "an in-depth show about cranes", a Dragons Den rip off, and some more witticims aimed at Derek Acorah, the laughs come thick and fast; and unlike in some of the later series of `TV Burp', the jokes haven't yet begun to drag on a little, here. With invisible ghosts on `Emmerdale', talking limas on `Tropic of Capricorn', and "the Reithian vision that is `Hole in the Wall'", this is a DVD which houses some of the best bits of a brilliantly witty and inventive show, with Harry's few mis-steps from the series (all great comics have them, after all) gladly omitted. My only issue with the DVD is that it's a little short, at just over an hour - but any comedy DVD which leaves you wanting nothing but more of it at the end, must be doing something right.

This is very funny and entertaining, expertly done in Harry's unique style of comedy. He most definitely has a way with words and this comes over in the way he describes his subject matter.

I would recommend anyone needing a good laugh to watch this DVD as it is brilliant.

When we had a parcel, I thought it can't be the "Harry Hill TV Burp DVD's" already especailly due to the weather we've had recently which has oviousally delayed some parcels. These Harry Hill TV Burp DVD's I ordered was a suprise for my dad as he can't get enough of watching Harry Hill. Once, we seen this DVD advertise on TV we decieded to get it for him before; you sold out.
