Product Description

CD Description

Following 2006's critically acclaimed 'Bande A Part' Frenchmusic collective Nouvelle Vague's third album is another musical delight. Known for their quirky and unique cover versions of well-known songs of artists such as Depeche Mode, U2,Buzzcocks, '3' features duets with the original singers of the songs, such as Martin Gore, Ian McCulloch and Terry Hall. This is a more delicate and inspired record than its predecessors, including covers of 'Road To Nowhere' (Talking Heads) and 'Say Hello Wave Goodbye' (Soft Cell).

3.0 out of 5 stars Nouvelle Vague not so nouvelle, 14 Aug 2009
By Mr. Br Heath "TedH" (Birmingham UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Those that have enjoued the previous Nouvelle Vague albums will find no surprises here. Still enjoyable but there are no surprises either in songs chosen or styles adopted. In fact the biggest disappointment is the presence of "guest singers" such as Terry Hall on Our Lips Are Sealed......all a bit showbiz.
Still, better than most releases at the moment but please for 4 try some more leftfield songs and arrangements............
