Product Description

Some of the scenes in this film are really quite shocking, and it certainly provides an eye-opening guide to the more extreme sexual practices you may find around Sunset Boulevard. Bruce Labruce plays a rather arch character who loosely joins up the episodes while conducting some kind of 'research'. He spends much of the time being driven around in a car, and falls in love with Tony Ward at first sight, absurdly and comically. Indeed Ward is a startlingly sexy figure walking around with his t-shirt pulled up to his chest like a male boob-tube and his low-slung jeans. There is some gross footage of someone's foot being (implausibly) severed by a passing car that is straight out of John Waters, as is some of the revelling in kinky behaviour, but in terms of the camera style it is more like the Andy Warhol trilogy, with Ward a very comparable figure to Joe Dallesandro. He even has a scene in the bath with his infant son that seems to be taken straight out of Flesh. He is the other icon of the male sex trade! There is another character called The Cowboy who also has an appealing look. And porn star Kevin Kramer is also very alluring in a totally sexual way and is put through his paces in a group scene that will not win over the prudish. The film is a bit of a rag-bag held together by Labruce's arch commentary, but it does give you some novel views of LA and has a sleazy charm which at times descends into the downright disturbing. I felt it did lack a bit of charm overall but it has enough scenes I like to make me want to see it again, and concludes on a surprisingly lyrical note suggesting that there's hope for us all of landing some pneumatic dreamboat straight off the pages of a Marvel comic.

Tony Ward and the cast of HUSTLER WHITE are as cute as a sackful of kittens. They throw themselves with such gusto into their roles that a viewer could be forgiven for either thinking that the actors ARE the characters or that these boys, while adorable, may just not have that long to live and hence not be worried about living their outrages down.
Working overtime to shock and disturb, this film often veers into both the highest reaches of camp and the worst examples of "undergound" film's sloppiness. Still, with it's gang bangs, bondage, necrophilia, stump humping, strangulation fetishes, skinhead romances and blatant (pointless?) plagiarism of SUNSET BLVD, this is not a film for the timid. For jaded audiences who are thrilled to be shocked, it could be catnip. I'd suggest you pull your pants up and try to manage an appalled visage. It's only polite when they've tried so hard!
I thought it was as funny as hell and bought two copies!

This DVD HUSTLER BOY we did find the time to watch, and we love it a lot, and watched it a couple of times, well worth the money and we do recommend to anybody, who likes that sort of film.

This film never ceases to entertain , its sexy , sick , rubbish, funny , cheap, artistic, graphic , ridiculous , bad taste , terrible , hot and laugh out loud. Perfect Tuesday night cheap sleeze.
