3.0 out of 5 stars A solid bike but a headache to put together, 17 Jun 2009
By Anna (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews
I like this bike and it rides well. It's solid and well put together. That being said, putting it together was a chore - there were no directions and no tools, so it took some time to figure out what went where. I had to take apart one of the brakes completely to get it to work, and both were far too tight and had to be adjusted. Also, the bike currently only shifts between 6 gears instead of the full 18 - the gear shifts work but do not move the chain enough to change gears. Several bike nuts have looked at it but they all eventually gave up and suggested I take it into the shop. Also, be warned - all (and i do mean ALL) the wires are bright candy floss pink, not the black shown in the picture, so with the turquoise and yellow frame and pink wires, the bike looks like it should belong to a six year old girl in 1982. But if you like hot pink wires and don't mind taking it into the shop, it's a good bike.
