In my opinion this is a really great record. It's absolutely must have for fans of Ben Harper but also a good starting point for those that didn't know his music up to this point.

The songs are very strong and there are real rockers but also beautiful ballads on this CD. The new band, Relentless7, he made this record with adds also a big part to the success of this album. I really love the Innocent Criminals but these guys are just as great and they are able to create a different sound than that we were used to. I mean you can recognise in a couple of seconds that this is a Ben Harper record, though the overall sound is different to his previous albums. That's just logical, otherwise why would he have made music with other musicians.

I have almost everything Ben Harper has put out on records and taking that into consideration I honestly say that this is up there with his strongest stuff he's put out yet.

Having come to Ben Harper in the last few years, have to say I'm constantly impressed by his music. This latest album is full of everything - rock, soul, bit of folk and each song is powerful and is a stand-out. However, my favourites are "Shimmer & Shine", "Up to You", "Skin Thin", "Fly One Time", "Suicide" but all other songs are equally fantastic. You won't be disappointed - once you hear Ben Harper, you'll be a fan for life - I know I am. Saw him at Hark Rock Calling a few weeks ago in Hyde Park & can't wait for him and the Relentless 7 to come back to London - their energy & soulfulness got the crowd going and they are wonderful live. Enjoy!

Ben Harper has teamed up with the hard rocking relentless7 and has produced his best album for years. Each tune is catchy and the lyrics as always are deeply though-provoking.

Favorite tracks, Number with no name, Shimmer and shine, skin thin, fly one time, faithfully remain and lay there.

Brilliant R7!
