This release is a compilation release from legendary New York Thrash Metal band Overkill which consists of live and demo versions of some of their best loved early material from the 1980s, as well as a studio recording of the Title Track and a live Black Sabbath cover. At first it may not seem like the most essential purchase and indeed some fans may wish to give it a miss, but the compilation is very good for what it actually is.

The album is available individually or also packaged together with their debut Studio album Feel The Fire which contains some of the same tracks, rerecorded. The last four tracks on the album are from the band's eponymous 1984 demo EP and are of much historical interest to serious Overkill fans. Tracks two through eight are decently recorded and well performed live tracks that are welcome considering the band don't have an official live album from their classic 1980s/very early 1990s period.

The track listing is as follows:
1. The Title Track (studio) - 2:20
2. "Rotten To The Core" (live) - 6:41
3. "Hammerhead" (live) - 3:57
4. "Use Your Head" (live) - 5:18
5. "Electro-Violence" (live) - 3:50
6. The Title Track live) - 2:28
7. "Hole In The Sky" (live Black Sabbath cover) - 3:42
8. "E.vil N.ever D.ies"(live) - 6:11
9. "Rotten To The Core" (demo) - 5:14
10. "Fatal If Swallowed" (demo) - 6:20
11. "The Answer"(demo) - 8:49
12. "Overkill" (demo) - 3:41

Overall, this release is a worthwhile addition to an Overkill fan's collection, especially those who like the band's earlier work. For new fans it isn't the most mind blowing material that the band have to offer but does take on the role of a very good set of bonus tracks should you chose to buy the version that also contains the entire of their excellent debut album Feel The Fire.

This is the re-issue of the original ep Overkill released in 1987.This one though includes the out of print Overkill ep and new live tracks.This addition makes the collection a little more improved for die-hards.Purists or casual Metal fans will not like this.The sound of the disc is muddled and scratchy throughout.Only the studio title track sounds fresh and clear.The 1990 live tracks are better sounding than the ones from 1987.Their cover of Black Sabbath's Hole in the sky is excellent.Overall Overkill fans should get their Wrecking Your Neck-Live set to hear awesome live music.

I bought the original F**k You cassette in the Mid-80's. It was touted as "The album they tried to ban" It had this real generic white cover on the front, I guess to please the censors/PMRC. But when you opened it up, it had the original Middle Finger artwork inside and you could turn the cover inside out. The sound was totally raw and in your face. 1 studio cut (the title track) and 4 live cuts. This new version has a few more gems tacked on. I'm happy this is released on CD, finally because I was worried about wearing out the tape. This is when Speed Metal was in its infancy and was completely raw. Buy this album, you will NOT be disappointed.

I think the cover and title of Overkill's EP re-issue are a perfect message for the dead, water-logged terrorist. The song title Rotten to the Core applies to Osama 'has-been' Laden as well, and don't forget Fatal If Swallowed...as in a Navy SEAL bullet! Finally, it might be true that Evil Never Dies, as the song title suggests, but it CAN get dumped into the sea to nourish the bottom-feeders. May 1, 2011 was a day to remember.

As for an actual review, I like the cd a lot. It has the classic F*** You EP, Hole in the Sky and Evil Never Dies live, and their self-titled, out-of-print debut EP. If you're looking for F*** You anyway, I don't know why you wouldn't go for the re-issue with its twelve tracks. So, in summary, Overkill rules, bin Laden's dead, and screw terrorism.

Classic release of the original EP which was put out a decade ago. The band saved me money by putting this to CD - I burned through about 5 copies of the cassette. This rips from beginning to end. If you like Overkill, this is a staple to the catalog.
