This latest in René Jacobs s Mozart opera recordings is well up to the high standard he has set musically and technically...Richard Croft s Idomeneo and Bernarda Fink s Idamante (a trousers role for this lovely artist) are sung with ravishing beauty of tone and a sure sense of style. Alexandrina Pendatchanska is a fiery Elettra and Kenneth Tarver a good Arbace. The orchestra is in excellent form, and the fine chorus is by the RIAS chamber choir. --Michael Kennedy, Sunday Telegraph, 14 June 2009
