Product Description

Product Description

2008 American horror/thriller starring Famke Janssen. Having served seven years in prison for the self-defence manslaughter of her abusive policeman husband Mike (Michael Pare), Marnie Watson (Janssen) is released on condition that she wears an electronic tag ankle bracelet. The tag enforces her to stay within 100 feet of her home, otherwise she will be sent back to prison. Marnie soon finds herself being stalked by her husband's ex-police colleague (Bobby Cannavale), who is desperate for her to break the conditions of her release. Stuck at home, with the malevolent cop outside, Marnie's life goes from bad to worse when she discovers that the ghost of her husband is haunting the house and that he is looking for bloody revenge!

100 Feet

I watched this film with little expectation, as a fan of horror movies i like em to grab me and not let go until the end...
And im pleased to say this film delivers in many ways.
The plot is simple..housebound woman is haunted by the violent ghost of her dead husband who becomes increasingly violent as the film evolves.
There are some genuine white knuckle moments in this movie..watch out for the waste disposal scene..yes it has been done before in the Final Destination movie..but its still eye watering none the less!
If you are a fan of gore there is more than enough to keep you hooked..the murder of the womans lover is one of the most gruesome things ive seen in a long time.
Anyway..if you like a simple movie with great acting, superb effects and suspense...watch it as soon as you can..you wont regret it!

Famke Janssen is a pleasure to watch and here she pulls out all the stops. Far fetched but clever premise, if you like horror films then this is worth having in your collection.

Famke Janssen brings a believable performance to a fairly weak plot, and makes it not only enjoyable but entertainingly so. If you like the Horror Genre, give this a go, it's not going to be up there with the scariest of them but with a strong cast an exceptional lead actress it will leave you thoroughly entertained.

Husband (a cop) Beats wife, Husband threatens wife with knife woman stabs and kills husband.

Now the movie begins as the wife, Marnie gets out of prison under house arrest. She has to stay in her apartment with an ankle tracker that alerts the police if she moves further then 100 feet from a sensor box placed on her staircase (its the shortest 100 feet I've ever seen for sure). Well, to cut a short story shorter, Marnie's dead husband hung around in the form of a vengeful spirit, though with the background story, no more vengeful then he was when he was alive. The ghost carries on beating her but she refuses to leave.

The acting seemed... forced, and the special effects were not so special. The star of the show was definitely the cat who seemed a natural actor and got all of its lines right... meow meow.

To sum up, good story line, not so good movie.

After reading the reviews about this which were very enticing I decided that this film was for me. The acting wasn't bad but the stupidity of the actions of the wife in the film just put me off. I didn't find it one bit scary or creepy and the ending was hopelessly cheese ridden.

Okay to watch, although I wouldn't call it 'gripping' and 'suspenseful' like other people, because to me it was very predictable.

====spoilers====
I found funny that she was scared of rats but she was insulting the ghost and confronting it... probably she had a phobia, haha. Also, at the end somehow I was expecting the ghost of the young neighbour to come back to rescue her and confront his killer.
And anyways, I wonder why Molly was smiling on the coach, as if it was a new start now that everyone was thinking she was dead, as portrayed on the newspaper... or is it that no one would wonder about her identity when she got a job, a new house, etc? Can a normal person just 'disappear' in USA??

I also never had many expectations about this film and yet this is the second horror/supernatural film from DNC that has surprised me (the other being The Chair). Its all very low budget and the entire film is set in the house but this is what adds to the film. I agree with the other reviewer - the death of the neighbour she sleeps with his horrendous. How they passed that of on a 15 certificate I will never know. Its far more effective then being slashed up with blood and guts flying around as this death is very real. The appearances by the ghost are also very well done (although he looks like Michael Myers from Halloween films at times!)

The only extras are a trailer but when the actual film is pleasing to watch who cares.

I love horror films, even when there bad, I still find them enjoyable. When I think back to 100 feet I remember one scene, and it's the only scene worth watching because as far as horror films go this is everything you have seen before just done really badly, starts off relatively believable then descends into stupidity, with one scene of ultra violence that had me laughing and grimacing at the same time. Famke Jansson of Jean Grey fame obviously has no interest and you really can't blame her. If you want to enjoy yourself for approximately 1 minute and sleep for the other 90 minutes this is the movie for you.
