Product Description

The complete and unauthorised story of Brazilian racing driver Ayrton Senna a triple Formula One world champion who is regarded as one of the greatest drivers in the history of Formula One

A kart racer from an early age, Senna won the British Formula 3 championship in 1983 and made his Formula One debut with Toleman the next year. He moved to Lotus-Renault in 1985, and won six Grand Prix over the next three seasons. In 1988 he joined Frenchman Alain Prost at McLaren-Honda, the top driver and team at the time, and won that year's championship. He and Prost developed a heated rivalry, which is regarded as the most bitter in F1 history.

Senna also won the 1990 and 1991 F1 championships. In the next two years with McLaren, despite driving an inferior car, Senna won races and challenged for the 1993 world title, finishing runner-up to Prost. He switched to the then-dominant Williams Renault team for the 1994 season. At the third race of the year millions of fans witnessed his fatal crash live on global TV coverage whilst leading the San Marino Grand Prix.

During his Grand Prix racing career, Senna became an international sporting superstar. His wet weather driving skills were often showcased during his ten years in the sport Senna was also known for his ruthless will to win.

This is his story!

1.0 out of 5 stars what a waste of money., 23 Mar 2009
By D. Calton (England/UK) - See all my reviews

Ayrton Senna - The Will To Win [2009] [DVD] This dvd is a total waste of money and time, it is full of footage which has nothing to do with Ayrton Senna at all,it also keeps showing some clips over and over, it is clear to see why this is an unauthorised dvd,the Ayrton Senna Foundation would never put such an insult on film, as for the bonus features, they have nothing to do with Ayrton Senna at all, there is no booklet with the dvd or information slip, so do yourself a favour, keep your money in your pocket, or buy a genuine Ayrton Senna dvd, hope this helps.

1.0 out of 5 stars Ayrton Senna - The Will to Win - DO NOT BUY !!!, 26 Mar 2009
By Senna Fan (Washington UK) - See all my reviews
I totally agree with the previous comments. This DVD is a total rip off cashing in on true Senna fans who will have pre ordered in anticipation of a DVD paying tribute to our hero. Instead we get shots of other drivers cars & worst of all, a computer simulation of a Monaco race. Could the makers not afford to pay for some clips of Ayrton's races? The one clip of him signing an autograph is shown several times to pad it out.
Very, very, disappointing ... I only wish I'd read the earlier reviews before I'd opened the wrapping so I could have sent it back for a refund. Amazon should definitely pull this DVD from their listings, the memory of Senna deserves better than this poor offering !!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Total waste of money!, 27 Mar 2009
By F. Poole "Fi" - See all my reviews

I bought two copies on pre order. One for us to watch and one for my client, who is massive Senna fan. We watched the dvd last night and it was terrible. I have since spoken to my client to let him know not bother wasting his time watching it. Very, very disappointing. The foundation should sue the makers and distributors. Do not buy!!!
