History of the Intercontinental Championship, 27 Aug 2009
This dvd set is a must have for anyone who is a fan of WWE. Each match shows why the Intercontinental Championship is such an important part of the WWE today. The matches start with some classic old school bouts from the 70's and 80's before moving onto the early 90's and the much loved attitude era, and the final disc chronicles matches from the year 2000 onwards. The set is very reasonably priced and would be a good addition to any collection of wrestling dvds.

Well worth a gander, 18 May 2009
This isn't quite 'The History' of the Intercontinental Championship, as I'll later explain, but its no doubt a fine collection of historic matches.
Plus Points:
- It includes some of the greatest matches EVER, including Savage vs Steamboat (WM III), Perfect vs Bret (SummerSlam 91), Bret vs Bulldog (SummerSlam 92), and Razor vs Shawn (WM X)
- The Jimmy Snuka vs Don Muraco Cage match is featured in full, I would imagine for the first time on DVD.
- It includes some hidden gems that seem to have been lost in the sands of time, such as Razor vs Double J (Royal Rumble 95), Austin vs Rock (DX In Your House), and Rock vs HHH (Fully Loaded 98)
- The matches featuring Pedro Morales are a pleasant surprise, with some great crowd heat.
- The 2000's third disc features some fine I.C. Title bouts - Jericho vs Angle (No Way Out 2000), Flair vs HHH (Taboo Tuesday 2005), Benjamin vs Carlito vs Nitro (Vengeance 2006), Umaga vs Jeff Hardy (G.A. Bash 07), and Hardy vs Jericho (RAW, March 2008)
- The first disc, featuring the 1980's, is fascinating from a historical point of view.
Negatives:
- The Lumber Jack bout between Greg Valentine and Tito Santana has aged badly.
- Todd Grisham is embarrasing as a host for the program.
- Many key points in the history of the title are not mentioned (the various reigns of Chris Benoit, its pointless 2002-2003 hiatus and revival, etc.)
- Some matches do not need to be here from a historical OR quality perspective (Eddie vs Jericho vs X-Pac from 2000, Triple H vs Jeff Hardy from 2001, RVD vs Benjamin from 2006)
- Although I'm being picky, there could have been other great matches here, including Piper vs Bret (WM VIII), Shawn vs Marty (RAW, 1993), Triple H vs Kane (Judgment Day 2001), etc.
Overall:
No doubt this is a 'can't go wrong' compilation for WWE fans - a great range of matches, there ought to be something for everyone here!
