Lets rewind 18 years, it was 1990, and rave and acid music were a big part of the club culture. Along came a producer, Guru Josh with this depressing saxophone driven - arpeggio riddled dance track which took off. The lyrics were simple "1990s, time for Guru", with a squelchy acid bassline, was great at the time I guess.

Roll forward to 2008, and Josh's back, the same track, with a few tweaks and we're supposed to be impressed? This is just a pure cash-in, as the so called revamped edition is just the same as the one out in 1990, just with a few new parts thrown in. Wish they'd got rid of that daft piano bridge in the middle...

The remixes are no better neither, actually I don't think they add much to the original 1990s Time For Guru 12" Mix, which to me, was the best it could have been.

Avoid this, it's a joke - and no one's laughing.

Having bought this track first time round, it was great to hear the new and updated 2008 version hit the music scene. This "modernisation" is just right in my opinion, still keeps the classic feel to the huge club classic, yet gives it a bit more depth than the orginial.
Must buy if you loved the orginial!
