For anyone who didn't get to see The Police reunite and storm the globe once again, certifiable will give u a decent taste of what you missed.
The DVD is accompanied by a cd with selected songs from the set, but with the DVD you'll be able to access the "Better Then Therapy" documentary through a link with the internet. Recorded in Buenos Aires, Certifiable mixes
the best of too sell out shows. Unfortunately, this is not too of there better performances.
The Police kind of drag through this DVD. Even the mighty Stewart Copeland seems stiff, Maybe they were more cautious because it was getting filmed for DVD. I don't know, what I do know is I seen them a few times on this tour and they were way way .........way better. Rolled back the clocks and rocked better.
They were full of life and jamming so hard I was left amazed. But with Certifiable I found myself saying "Oh No" at certain points. Things didn't go right, Andy Summers who was like a dog of a lead for once on this tour really blew me away with some of his playing, but on this DVD he seemed dull and cautious. Sting puts in a good performance, bass wise he sounds like the Sting I loved, Reinvented that funky bass of his, and dropped the whole Solo career cautious session playing that we've heard on most of his 90s-00s solo work. Stewart Copeland is usually like a tamed Tiger behind his drum kit, watching Sting the master, sneaking in a wild beat here and there, but again as I said before he seems a bit to stiff on this DVD.
All said for someone who missed there tour this DVD will give you a strong essence of what the Police are and have always been about. Pleasing there fans, playing hard and having fun.
Certifiable is a decent addition to the Police's very bare DVD catalog? It's well worth watching, but as said it's not them at there very best. But its the best Police DVD released to date. The Mighty Police are Back in Certifiable.
