From the opening Paul Simon cover, 'The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)', to more traditional tunes like 'Paddy McGinty's Boat' and 'Delaney's Donkey', Doonican proves himself to be quite the interpretative chameleon. More contemporary songs such as Elvis Presley's 'You Were Always On My Mind' and Roger Miller's 'King Of The Road' are alsoaired, alongside Doonican's 1966 no.2 hit 'What Would I Be'.

Great release of Val Doonican in time for Christmas.

Especially pleased to find "I'm gonna get there somehow" on this CD
