Synopsis

At the outset of this popular 1980s cartoon series, a planet (known as Thundera) in a far, far away universe is in trouble. Thundera's inhabitants are facing extinction due to the planet's structural instability and looming disintegration. While the planet's offspring (the Thundercats) are able to escape in one piece, their spacecraft is not so lucky. It's wrecked by evil mutants, and then it is up to Jaga, the group's eldest member, to risk his own life to ensure the safe arrival of the Thundercats in their new home--Third Earth. This release contains every episode from the first and second series.

What can be said that hasn't already been covered before? This cartoon was a favourite amongst most boys growing up in the 80's. I give the cartoon 10 out of 10 and it still looks great compared to the trash kids have to put up with today. It was only equaled or bettered by He-Man (which in many ways Thundercats copied).

I just wanted to warn any potential Amazon buyer here that my box set did not contain the exclusive cards shown on one of the photographs above. I was hoping for the cards and was disappointed after taking the seal off to find I had the bare bones cardboard cases and nothing else. Ok I still have over 47hrs of the cartoons, which is the main thing, but I do feel like it is false advertising as the box set even has a little sticker on stating that the exclusive cards are within. It doesn't get full marks for such reasons and I don't think even Lion-O could help me out with this!

this was one of my favourite cartoons as a kid and it takes me back to my youth watching this 10/10
