Synopsis

Australian hard rockers AC/DC were one of the hugest arena bands of the 1970's. This two-hour long concert video features the Aussie quintet rocking out to 22 of their songs. Filmed live on July 19, 1996 at the Plaza De Toro De Las Ventas (a remarkable space usually designated for bull fights), this footage showcases Angus Young at his sleazy best!

1.0 out of 5 stars AC/DC BLU-RAY NO BULL, 27 Sep 2008
No Bull ? This blu-ray release is total bull .You buy blu-ray for the picture quality , unfortunatly there is a big lack of quality here . As a fan i feel ripped off with this release . AC/DC should be ashamed at this disc . It is so grainy it's not worth watching , i tried my vhs copy and guess what , it is a much better picture . Ok so the sound is very good but this is a film where i wanted to see the band with a stunning picture .
AC/DC you need to do much better than this and saying it was taken from an
'old' recording is no excuse . Any chance of a refund ?
(Also as per above review ZZ Tops blu-ray is awesome and this should have been the same).

1.0 out of 5 stars Picture Quality, 12 Sep 2008
I have the dvd of no bull and thought the blu ray would be a great buy. I have ps3 and a 40" sony Bravia, being a big AC/DC fan I could not wait to see it in HD but to be blunt and to the point I wish I had not bothered as the picture quality is as grainy as the sahara desert. The sound is as expected., but if you have the dvd already I would not waste your money on the blu ray. PS. ZZ tops blu ray is first classAC/DC - No Bull: The Directors Cut [Blu-ray] [1996]

3.0 out of 5 stars No Bull ?????, 18 Mar 2009
By William A. Mackay (Scotland) - See all my reviews

No Bull on Blu Ray..Mmmmmmm.Firstly i agree slightly with the two previous posts. The quality here is pretty shocking considering its THE directors cut.The sound is the only significant mod on this offering, but i found the picture [GRAINY] effect was lessend with a few menu tweeks on my Samsung lcd.Set the picturemode to Movie at 24fps and its looking a whole lot better. But i agree [a lifelong ac/dc fan]this is a pretty poor blu ray.Save up and buy the donnington Blu Ray its miles better.Hence my slightly better score of three stars, but mainly coz of the sound.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gritty and authentic!
Yes, the picture is grainy - the film was shot on Super 16mm. What you're seeing is the natural grain of the film stock (the picture in Queen Rock Montreal is similar). Read more
