Product Description

CD Description
The British metal combo Bring Me The Horizon caused a minorstir with the release of their debut mini-album in 2004 and, having released their first full-length in 2006, gone on to amass considerable popularity for the release of 'Suicide Season'. The band's distinctive deathcore sound and continued controversial rock 'n' roll antics has ensured demand for new material, and it comes in a more considered approach this time around. Songs are still extremely heavy, but there are also lighter moments that signify the band's musical growth.

1.0 out of 5 stars Nihilism By Numbers, 15 Mar 2009
By The Wolf (uk) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)
Death Metal + Deathcore = Deathcore ( Apparently ).

'Suicide Season', Sheffield badboys' new album purports to
deliver evidence of this equation.

It is certainly a noisy and rumbustious affair.

The ten tracks which comprise this collection offers little
respite from their young-and-damned nihilistic vision.

Nothing wrong with a little dark energy of course but
their unremitting stance seems more than a little mannered.

The helter-skelter opening bars of 'The Comedown' raised
an eyebrow of optimism but with the entry of Mr Sykes
stock-in-trade vocals we are plunged into territory
already well worn by a thousand other feet.

Hackneyed riffs, machine-gun percussion, dumb-as-it-comes guitar,
creature of the black lagoon shouted vocals, puerile shock-tactic lyrics.

Having finally arrived at closing track 'Suicide Season' I had almost
lost the will to live myself.

The front page artwork of a young lady clutching her own entrails
in her hands could hardly be considered a redeeming feature.

Utter Tosh !

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST YET!, 30 Sep 2008
By Mr. K. Bennison (middlesbrough) - See all my reviews

I really dont know what everyone is talking about, this is one of the best albums iv ever heard! Count your blessings was an unreal album! Suicide Season 'pisses all over it'.

I really like the new style of music they play, it goes great with oli's vocals, and for those who say ohh they sound like gallows, go home. He hasnt totaly abandoned his insane scream, jus uses less often, so now it has more an effect;)

Also there is alot of electronic beats and stuff too, mainly on ''it was written in blood'' and ''the sadness will never end'', which works fantastic! With guest vocals from the guy from architects on sadness will never end, it sounds.. phenominal with oli. To end off the album with the title track, an 8 minute masterpiece. A really melodic track with meaningful lyrics, i dno how to describe it, you just have to listen!

It really is an amazing album and i recommend it to anyone!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great band , 28 Sep 2008
By Mr. P. Harrington - See all my reviews

I agree with the second review !
BMTHs first 2 albums(emps) were very good and what I expected I have seen them as a support band at lost prophets about 2 years ago and that is when i started listening to them.
I have grown to love the album count your blessings with two of there songs being in my top 10 listened to on itunes. The first 3 songs that i have listened to (chelsea smile, it was written in blood and the comedown) are different and not what I expected. When I heard there cover of Slipknot I thought it was good but not great and feared the worst after buying tickets for them on halloween, however this album sounds good and cant wait until tomorrow. Keep going Oli and cant wait to see you live !
