This carefully selected soundtrack provides an eclectic audio experience to match the humour and emotional rollercoaster ride at the heart of Three And Out. It features new and original recordings of Somebody Help Me and You've Got a Friend from the highly talented Lee Mead, who triumphed in the BBC's Any Dream Will Do and is currently starring in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Further new material is added by original score composer Trevor Jones, one of the world's leading film composers, whose instinctive empathy with the moving image is legendary. Trevor's awards include BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations for The Last of the Mohicans, a BAFTA nomination for Brassed Off, a BAFTA nomination for Mississippi Burning, an Emmy nomination for Merlin and ASCAP Awards for Cliffhanger and Notting Hill.
An exciting mix of contemporary and classic popular music, the soundtrack accompanies Paul and Tommy on every stage of their journey, beginning with Elvis Costello's Accidents Will Happen as the premise of the film is established. The pace is kept up with Mead's Somebody Help Me, ramping up still further with Blondie's One Way Or Another. There are touching contributions from the cast too, with a moving rendition of. The strong Irish flavour of Three And Out is further reflected in contributions from The Jolly Beggarmen singing Wild Rover and the Pogues making a chaotic contribution to the riotous party.
