I had never heard of Martin Dosh before, but after listening to a few music clips, it was obvious that his percussive, electro-acoustic, indie-rock/electronica was just the thing for me. Immediate points of reference for the similarly uninitiated might be a remixed Steve Reich, Mice Parade, Four Tet in folktronica mode, and the avant-chamber of Bell Orchestre, but with added drone (a side project involving members of Arcade Fire). It's funny how I repeatedly find myself attracted to the projects of multi-instrumentalist drummers. I think Evelyn Glennie, the classical percussionist, might even like this. It's already having the same addictive effect on me as when I first discovered the laptop folk of Tunng. Hopefully, all this is endorsement enough.
