This is a great, easy to use system with a good sound for the price & ideal as a second system for background music. I purchased it for my mother who needed a simple, easy to understand compact DAB radio & CD player & this fitted the bill perfectly. Setting up the DAB stations to numeric presets is a little involved but fine if you follow the instructions. There are no phono inputs for additional upgrading, only the input jack on the front along with a USB input (for memory sticks only! Apparently, powered external USB devices with a cable won't work!!!). So all in all a great little system.

p.s. It's so annoying when someone gives 1 star for such a trivial reasons to something they haven't even purchased. I would originally have dismissed this item based on it's indicated 2 star rating here if I hadn't researched a little further. Hopefully my 5 star rating will up it's credibility!!!

Actually got this cheap as a catalogue return, and as such am very happy. An easy to use system with a good cd player, DAB and FM receiver, a USB connection and a 'music port'.
The CD gives good reproduction with no discernible noise. The FM receiver is fine, though not as sensitive as others I've had. I'm not supposed to be able to receive DAB in my area but the reception is very good.
The USB works very well with my cheapest Tesco MP3 player, the system remote controlling the player, but will not work at all with my Sansa player. The system handbook acknowledges this, stating that large memory MP3s can't be handled by the system, nor those with USB extension leads. So be warned.
The 'music port' is merely a female 3.5 mm audio jack, so if you have a male to male lead (not supplied) you can connect the system to most devices via the headphone socket. This actually works with my telly and the Sansa player, though of course the system's remote won't control the other device.
As to the rest of the system:- The remote is effective and easy to use. The amplifier seems fine and gives a decent sound through the small speakers, though you couldn't call it proper hi-fi. A minus point is that there are no phono inputs or outputs, so you will have difficulty linking it with Sky boxes etc.
In all the system is pretty good, giving decent results. Pity about the restricted USB connections though
