This soundtrack is neither as varied or as wonderful as its predecessor but does a fair job of capturing the darker tones of Prince Caspian whilst remaining loyal to the best themes from The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

As you might expect, the stand-out tracks are the battle tracks, particularly 'Battle at Aslan's How' and 'Return of the lion'. Both are very impressive but lend very heavily from the first movie. Whilst the familiarity is enjoyable and still exciting to listen to, it perfectly reflects my feeling about the entire soundtrack - that the best parts are those taken from the first. Other notable mentions include 'Prince Caspian Flees' and 'Door in the Air.'

As with the first movie, there are vocal tracks at the end of the album. Each is very different and adds some much needed variety to the album. Whether you like them or hate them will very much depend on your individual taste. Overall this is another great piece of work from Harry Gregson-Williams and if you enjoyed his work on the first Narnia then you will enjoy this album almost as much... perhaps more.
