Synopsis

Porterhouse Blue is, before I saw it on television, would be a lot of pompous university stuff. Very much the opposite. It is very enjoyable and funny to see the send up of the university politics. Never having been to a university, it is what I would reckon a university could well be like, perhaps with a bit of comedy thrown in!!
I enjoyed it and I hope everyone will.

saw parts of this series when it first came out and to be honest thought it good for its time but not a real winner and the claim that the scene where skullion clears up the courtyard was one of the funniest scenes ever left me unamused.
I prefer the confession scene with the padre for humour and the master saying paar devant le domestique in front of the french au pair as being far funnier.
watch and learn what great comedy is,much underated and a brilliant performance from david jason,well worth the money
