Diagnosis Murder sees Emmy award winner Dick Van Dyke star as Dr. Mark Sloan, a dedicated doctor who dabbles in detective work. Caring and compassionate, Dr. Sloan enlists the help of his police detective son, Steve (Barry Van Dyke) whenever he suspects one of his patients is the victim of foul play. The mysteries range from the classic (a beautiful patient surrounded by intrigue has amnesia – or does she?) to the gritty and offbeat (Sloan's son gets too close to a gang of corrupt cops, with near-disastrous results). The DVD boxset features all 19 episodes from the first season, plus the episode Jake and the Fatman which introduced the character of Dr. Mark Sloan.

Synopsis
The long-running television series DIAGNOSIS MURDER offers a clever hybrid of the medical-drama and murder-mystery genres. Comedy legend Dick Van Dyke anchors the series as Dr Mark Sloan, a hospital physician who helps his detective son, Steve (Van Dyke's real-life son, Barry), solve crimes for the Los Angeles Police Department. Warm, witty, and family-friendly, this collection presents all 19 episodes of the show's debut series, which includes a star-studded roster of guest appearances by television stalwarts Robert Guillaume, Dom Deluise, Dick Van Patten, Elizabeth Berkley, Roma Downey, Gerald McRaney, and Delta Burke.

Finally! Diagnosis Murder on Region 2 DVD. Have been waiting for this for ages. Can't wait for the other seasons to be released on Region 2 as well. This box set looks smart and with all 19 episodes from th first season (including an episode starring Dr Sloan from Jake and the Fatmen). Would definitely recommend to all DM lovers out there.

finally on region 2 dvd have waited a long time for this not much extras but good to have the episode from jake and the fratman where it all began can't wait for the next seasons to come out as my vhs tapes are all making funny noises from being played often i would recomend this to all dm lovers or if you want a bit of light family entertainment or love dick van dyke

I didn't know this was coming out on R2. Well, I have Seasons 1 & 2 on R1 dvd and they're both great fun!

I know you can get S3 on R1 too, I hope they bring out the rest of the Seasons out eventually =)
