5.0 out of 5 stars Super Fast Wireless, 10 Mar 2008
I recently bought this product as a friend of mine in the industry recommended it and I am glad he did.

Having looked at other manufacturers options this was roughly about half the price, I did wonder if this might affect performance but was pleasantly surprised.

After setting up the router using the step by step guide I was keen to try out the wireless speeds (I also bought the SMC USB adapter). I started by transferring some of my iTunes library from my PC to my laptop and it only took seconds to transfer each song.

It has been in for two weeks now and I have had no problems at all, I have been very pleased with the purchase and will definitely be looking at SMC products in future.

5.0 out of 5 stars It does what it says on the box!, 14 Aug 2008
I own other SMC networks kit - so i know this brand builds good quality equipment at affordable prices thats why i went for it compared to other big brands. I have not been disappointed. The installation of the product was easy - i have 2 laptops and a desktop connected wirelessly. I also purchased the SMC PCI-N and USB-N cards so i am no connected up at 300mbps through out my house. Compared to my previous 11G ( 54mbps) router i am getting much more noticelable throughput and the "deadspots" i had in the house, with little or no wireless signal, are now "live". I thoroughly recommend the product to anyone looking to upgrade from 11G to 11N. Its definitely worth it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good hardware, software could be easier, 12 Mar 2009

    (REAL NAME)
I bought one of these for my parents to replace a dead Netgear router. Initial install was fine, set up with the ISP with no issues and I left it running perfectly happily.

However, it was running an older firmware version which was unstable, so it was rebooting itself every half an hour or so, and some of the default settings were a little weird for UK ADSL.

However, a quick flash with the newest firmware revision and the thing has been happy ever since. Fantastic signal strength in areas that the Netgear could never touch, and it's blisteringly fast. Certainly fast enough that there's no noticeable difference between using wireless and a wire.
