i got this not expecting too much realy, looked ok, it was quite cheap; "hey what the hell?" i thought.

it's quite a stark slow burner realy. shot in mainly cool blues; almost black and white sometimes.

as the film progresses it slowly wakes up to be a very good SciFi peace.

while the fight scenes are quite simply amazing [they're better than the 'Bourne' films] they allmost feel out of place; so well shot and fast paced they seem to clash with the overall feel of the film, which is quite slow.

i never thought about the subtitles realy as there wasn't loads and loads of talking.
i thinking anyone who loves there SciFi will love this, makes such a change from the normal Hollywood dross

French make (almost) always good police stories. This is a mix of SF (cerebral SF - Philip K Dick's style) and a classic "flic" story, with a bad guy, a "strange" good guy and the real villains from deviated secret services. The director make a good and original film (with a "local" cast) with very good action scenes

It's set in the near future and being french that means the film sure looks stylish. The fight scenes are pretty good..it's like speed chess with fists, feet and knives. The main character gets his ass kicked which makes a nice change from the indestructable heroes we usually see in this type of film.
