55-60 perfect

15-25 awful

(there are actually seven matches but i aint gonna count the hornswoggle and great khali match

triple threat ecw title match
cm punk vs miz vs morrison
brilliant, in my opinion best match of the night, i felt it was as good if not better than the wrestlemania 20 triple threat 10/10

5 on 5 diva's match
Mickie James, Maria, Torrie Wilson, Michelle McCool and Kelly Kelly vs Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall, Melina, Victoria and Layla
quite a good diva's match 7/10

tag team title cade and murdoch vs hardcore holly and cody rhodes
average match, worst of the night but had a great finish 6/10

traditional survivor series match
Team Triple H (Triple H, Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio and Kane)vs Team Umaga (Umaga, Mr. Kennedy, Montel Vontavious Porter, Finlay and Big Daddy V) (w/Matt Striker)
briliant, triple h didnt have matt hardy but it was still great the match gets an extra mark for umaga's spinning slam on rey 10/10

great khail vs hornswoggle i aint gonna say about this

hbk vs orton wwe title
great technical match, even though i knew the winner i still thort at some points that the other had won 9.5/10

batista vs taker world titile hell in a cell match
really good hell in a cell match with some great moves although JBL did say the winner of the match accidentally. 9/10

4.0 out of 5 stars a good survivor series , 9 May 2008
Survivor series 2007 brought an end to some feuds and new ones grew in stature and interest while quality remained at a good level there was some genuine filler here that was not needed and took the shine of this proverbial apple for sure.
The event opened with a very good match, the ECW championship was up for grabs,ECW will never be as it was,we have to accept that, the old format is dead, the low production values long gone and the violence and suicide traits all but buried, what you have left is a list of athletes with some venom inside who do their best to give their all,cm punk is one of those who is a joy to watch and here as champion he is up against the miz and john morrison who were tag team champs in a triple threat match.
This match set the mood perfectly,a host of near pin falls and inventive moves and a soaring energy that dazzled and kept a frantci crowd going,a superb ending meant that this was a great wee opener.
Next up was a ten diva tag team match and this highlights perfectly that the WWE has no faith in keeping a match with ladies in it running over a few minutes as this wasnt a traditional survivor series elimination match, this was a one fall match,i wont bother naming all those that participated, the captains were beth phoenix for the villains and mickie james was there for the goodies, this wasnt a big or clever match and i can barely remember this and i only watched this again yesterday.
The world tag team championship was contested next, the champs trevor murdoch and lance cade went up against hardcore holly and cody rhodes. This was a good match, the champions were by far the better team, cutting the ring in half and dominating and using quick tags which as jim ross rightly points out is how all the great tag teams did it,just watch the old footage of arn anderson and tully blancard for further proof, anyway, this was a good contest and a superb finisher move was used, its hard to fault the sunset flip powerbomb,an underused move that looks the part and yes its gonna hurt.
Next up was another very good match,a 5 on 4 traditional survivor series elimination match. We had a team captained by triple h,which featured kane, rey mysterio and jeff hardy,i found it amusing when the team was being interviewed how each of triple hs partners had a bone of contention with the man and this planted a seed of doubt that maybe he could be sabotaged! The captain of their rivals was umaga and he had mr kennedy, finlay, big daddy v and MVP on his team. This was a good match with no cheap falls designed to take a man out so that we can move on,i hate that,i really do,the winners had to earn it,a good physical contest with speed and precision and an understanding of whats needed to fight at the top, very good.
Next up was a match that wasnt a match,it was a disgrace,a waste of time,i would rather have watched scotty 2 hotty perform the worm 5 times, actually what the heck am i saying, this was terrible,we had the great khali who looked a bit humilated going up against 4 foot 4 tall hornswoggle, the biggest mismatch in wwe history!nope this was the biggest con in wwe history, was simply there to make us laugh and to start a feud between khali and finlay that wasnt even that good in the first place, shocking and im being polite.
Next up was a match for the WWE championship, the champ randy orton went up against shawn michaels, there were two stipulations, firstly hbk couldnt use the sweet chin music as a finisher and secondly if randy orton got disqualified then michaels would win the belt, this made for a pure wrestling match which was entertaining, loads of endurance moves and submission moves and mat wrestling with heaps of skill meant that this was never gonna fail and it didnt and the ending was sublime.
The main event was up next, the world heavyweight championship was up for battle, the champ batista was up against the undertaker in a hell in a cell match. This was the fifth match of the year between these two so this was the final match for a while between the two,we had all seen too much of them, but this was a treat for the eyes,a violent, brutal, more than savage beat down between two men who wanted to ruin one another,i found this a real killer match, tombstones on steel steps, batista bombs flying all around the place and a shock for all when a man interferes, this was a great match.
The steelcase edition is very nice as usual and will sit alongside my others without blushing, the dvd extras,oh you want to know, well they aint great,in fact there is just one,for a wee while prior to the event we were getting images of codes much like the matrix with words like the second coming and save us scrolling down and while it was the worst kept secret of all time, the dvd extra occurs the following night when we see who this is,its good and entertaining but this alone does not make dvd extras good,a bit lousy in truth but overall i have decided to give this four stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars WWE Survivor Series 2007, 31 Mar 2008
Triple Threat Match for the ECW Championship - CM Punk vs. John Morrison vs. The MIz - A good choice for opening match, as you had three young wrestlers working their way up the card. The match was fine with some nice inventive spots and athleticism, but too short too really stand out. (**)
10-Diva Tag Team Match - There is little point in listing the Divas involved in the match because only about half of them have any real experience in the ring and the rest were there to make up the numbers. The match was short and most of the girls had a few seconds in the ring at best. Watchable. (1/2*)
World Tag Team Championship Match - Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch vs. Cody Rhodes & Hardcore Holly - This match features three of the most underrated wrestlers on the current WWE roster. Sadly, the match had little in the way of build-up so the crowd are quiet for most of it. A nice effort though and a solid match. (**)
Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match - WWE insists on flogging one of these matches every year. Their usually good fun, but their also predictable and do nothing to help storylines and character development. This one had the usual highs and lows. There was the opportunity to see a number of top stars appear in one match, but then you had to watch them drop like flies with unrealistic quick eliminations. The match improved as it came down to the final four, were the pace slowed down and the wrestlers had the chance to tell a story, rather than just worry about getting all their moves in. Nothing special, but entertaining enough. (***)
Hornswoggle vs. Great Khali - Earlier on in the show Vince Mcmahon claimed that Hornswoggle vs. Great Khali is a money match. All of a sudden the years of bad WWE shows mske sense. This was bad, but in all honesty it could have been worse. (DUD)
WWE Championship Match - Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels - The big selling point for this match was that if HBK used the superkick he would be disqualified, but if Randy Orton got disqualified then he would lose the WWE Championship. Most of the match was preety basic but never dull. They built it up nicely, and the ending was fantastic as they really incorporated the match gimmick into the final few moves. Again, nothing special, but a solid match. (***)
Hell In A Cell Match for the World Heavyweight Championship - Batista vs. Undertaker - This was supposed to be the big finale in the rivalry, hence the Hell In A Cell. The match was solid throughout as the wrestlers did a good job of brawling and using their surroundings in the match. The problem was the crowd though. They were silent throughout, which might have been due to the kind of match, as they went for a methodical brawl rather than a big spot fest. The ending worked as a suprise but cheapend the idea of this match being the conclusion to the biggest feud of the year. (***)
Overall this was an another entertaing PPV but like a lot of WWE PPV's these days it was just too easy too forget. Just look at the matches and the storylines and ask yourself how much of this is still going to matter in a few months. Having said that, the big three matches on the show are fun and that makes it worth renting at least. The return of Chris Jericho from Raw the following night is included as a DVD extra. I used to be a huge Jericho fan, but on the night of his return it seemed like he was trying to hard to be charismatic and came across as really annoying.
