There are so, so many products on the market today which offer the basic teaching of the Tarot, but I haven't found anything quite as practical as the Tarot Stripped Bare DVD being offered by D'Avekki Studios. The DVD comes out of the United Kingdom, so it has wonderful "British flare" to it and makes me wish I was living in Europe again. :) Tarot Stripped Bare presents the Tarot through a contemporary approach and 'cuts through the myths and mysticism' of Tarot reading. It's divided into different segments designed to help a beginner, intermediate and advanced student of the Tarot explore reading, interpretations, choosing a deck, and offers loads of other insightful information. The DVD is very affordable, it cost £14.99 (delivery included) which converts to about $27.50. Now, there is one minor problem with this DVD. It's published in PAL (European format). The US is on NTSC. So, if you DVD player doesn't support PAL, it won't work. However, I watched in on my computer and it worked just fine, better in fact because I could skip around and replay easier. I really like this DVD because it's an efficient, constructive approach to teaching Tarot and demonstrates how the Tarot can be used as a tool for self-exploration and enlightenment.
