Synopsis

When Ichigo Kurosaki accidentally absorbed all the powers of a shinigami (death god) named Rukia he didn't think he'd have to take on her responsibility of fighting evil spirits as well. But now that Rukia's transformed into an average high school student like him, they'll have to work together to figure out how she can get her powers back. In the seventh volume of this mystical anime, Ichigo has managed to get inside the Soul Reapers' inner sanctuary but not without getting caught, and Rukia is sent to a cell to await her execution unless the team can get to her in time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Battle and conspiracy in the Soul Society, 3 Nov 2008

(TOP 500 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)    (VINE VOICE)
In this set of episodes from the excellent Bleach anime series Ichigo and his friends continue their mission to save Rukia from execution but they finally meet a roadblock in the form of the Soul Reaper Captains who have taken to the field. Both Ichigo and Chad must face tough fights against powerful opponents Ganju makes a discovery that put the mission in jeopardy. However unexpected action amongst the ranks of the Soul Reapers themselves leads to confusion and dissension in the ranks.

Bleach just continues to improve even form the high standard set by the last few DVD sets. The animation remains at a high standard throughout, as does the scripting which introduces some nice twists to the plot. The action also keeps improving with Ichigo's fight against the powerful Captain Kenpachi being one of the best from the series so far. Bleach is definitely turning into a great series and it is fast becoming my all-time favourite anime series and I just wish they would hurry up and release more of the it in this country.
